Does anyone know of a way to send a package internationally with insurance and *tracking*? USPS has insurance, but only certificate of mailing. For my own assurance I want to know that a package actually arrived if I decide to sell internationally. Any ideas?

Registered mail, First Class, has tracking and insurance ETA: The tracking with Registered Mail is crappy in transit but it will show that the package arrived. I think you can require a signature too. Or send it Global Express Guaranteed, which is a USPS product but the package is handles via FedEx. I believe USPS offers insurance for those shipments as well but look online and read the fine print, the clerks do NOT know what they are talking about usually. Or ship directly with FedEx. I know for sure you can buy $1000 insurance through FedEx for jewelery and you can purchase an additional $900 through a company calle www.shipsurance.com

All of the specs of the diamond are in the first post (carat, color, clarity, etc.). The stone is not certified, but there is a marking on the ring with the carat weight (.44).

Nope, I can't get measurements of the stone unset. However, I have a caliper at home and can try to measure the inner and outer bezel to give you an idea of size. I'll do this later tonight.

inside is 5.1mm x 5.5mm
outside is 9.0mm x 8.6mm
