My personal preference is for a thinner ring too. However, the X prong is nice too! Tough choice...

However, to all of the ones you posted- I do prefer the Vatche Royal Crown that Mara mentioned. Yummy... is it a lot more expensive?

This will approximate the width of the sleek lines, but it's an emerald cut: it's on a size 7.75. I hope it's ok to post these links.

And this is an x-prong, with .71 ct round.

This might help, it's almost the same size as your diamond; it's a .73ct on a size 6, ring is slightly large: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-woke-up-to-this-blinding-me.31567/

It is important to get a ring that is not too tight, but since most fingers vary according to seasons and hormones, a fit that works for most times might have to do. I think slightly loose is preferable to slightly tight.

The difference in ring thickness doesn''t seem to be that much different, but it *is* noticeable.

In other news, holy *&#@$%, look at the size of that .71 ct stone! I got a .79 ct one and I was thinking it was going to look small!! Just wow!

As for the sleek lines vs. the x-cut, it''s still a bit hard to tell with those pictures. I can''t really see how the sleek lines shows off the stone, since it''s an emeral cut.

Thanks for the pictures!

eban, i think they can order vatche settings, so don''t rule it out just yet.

i really like the sleek lines solitaire. i like how it tapers toward the center stone, i think that will really help to make it pop.

I really think you should go with a thinner band. I have a size 6 finger, and I've found that my finger looks much more graceful with a thinner band than with a thicker one. Plus, you have to multiply it by 2 to figure how wide the overall look will be with a wedding band also. I think thinner flatters both the finger and the diamond. In fact, I found a setting I love today, but it was too chunky, so I'm looking into getting a custom version made thinner. I think a thick band looks great on a lot of people, especially those that don't have very fleshy fingers. My fingers are pretty fleshy, so a thick band almost makes them look sausage-like. And I'm a relatively thin girl. My mom, on the other hand, has bonier fingers even though she's larger than me, and thick rings look great on her. So, I guess what I'm saying with all my rambling is that I think the thinner band is the better way to go here...

ETA, if you do decide to go with a thicker band, I'd make sure it fit a little on the looser side to avoid that sausage-finger look.

I don''t think your .8 stone will look small at all! It''s definitely a respectable size. Just think what you might have ended up with had you not found pricescope though

I have no idea what my fiance would have picked! (I shudder at the thought... hehe, just kidding!)

Of your current options, I agree with Belle, I think the Le Sleek lines will really make the stone pop even more since it tapers toward the stone.
