Hi

OK, owners of slidng bezel pendant, does yours flip? Is that just part of the deal? I love the look of the bezel pendant.

Any suggestions to make it less likely to fliip?

thanks heaps, oh, if I have put this in the wrong section admin, agologies, I had a hard time trying to figure out where it belongs

No, mine doesn''t really flip. In this picture you can see where the chain goes in towards the top of the setting. That keeps mine in place. I hope this helps :)

Thanks D2B! My parents gave me this necklace about seven years ago. I wear it all the time so it's a bit beat up! I don't have many pics of it, but I found a few...

This is how it looks on. Please ignore the silly pose, this is the bottom part of a picture from a photo assignment lol.

This is the top where the chain goes in...

Here is a bezel set citrine in yellow gold I bought for fun while on vacation. The setting is a little different, it's another good option if you want a bezel set stone (it doesn't flip that much, but my diamond is better in that regard).

ETA: There are a many threads on bezel pendants, if you do a search you'll find a lot. This thread has sliding bezel pendants from blinkydoll, jfo and skippy:

Mine flips a bit. Very anoying. The front of the pendant is heavyer than the back so the diamond ends up pointing down a lot of the time. Maybe a shorter chain or having the holes for the chain to pass through closer to the top of the pendant would help.

Mine doesn''t flip at all because the holes are closer to the top and my bezel is very heavy.

If your pendant is already made, I''ve seen my jeweler put two little beads on the backside at about the 4:00 and 8:00 positions for women who had the same problem. The beads help to anchor it down.

Gemgirl, you are a gem

I actually just had my pendant remade into a slide because it was attached to the chain and ALWAYS flipped and always moved around my neck. It drove me nuts. I took it to Quest and they made it into a slide. What a huge difference. It never flips now and always stays center. Now the only problem is sometimes I play with it and slide it around without even realizing, and the then the clasp end up in the front.
Do a search for slide pendant, there are some older posts where people talk about exactly where to position the hooks to keep the pendant from flipping.

I''m not alowed to wear mine till my birthday on Saturday so I''ll know then how much of a problem the flipping is. I may look at asking my jewler about some lil beads if it''s an issue.

Mine doesn''t flip, its pretty heavy and the holes are more near the top so that helps as well. This is for my peridot pendant.
