Ok, I'm sorry to bump this thread....(well, not too sorry)....but my bf and I are observing some of these CHARMING "I1"s on ebay. (He's actually getting a little scared--"my eyes, my eyes!!")

...anyway, we're enjoying the entymology lesson of all the frozen bugs in the monkey spit. WHOA. Enjoy!

eta (My terrified bf says that this so-called "classy pear" is the devil's face--the prongs are the ears, the inclusion on the right is a big old evil eye or a patch?! 'repent, all ye diamond buyers, and buy me'")

we need a new hobby. bf is dryheaving at this equally classy one which boasts: "Elegant and Dazzling Princess diamond adorned with white baguettes in the sides. The center Princess diamond is 0.93ct and the side baguettes are of 0.27ct with SI-3 clarity!!! Truly an elegant piece of jewellery offered at an incredible price.BID NOW!!!"

What about this one? It''s sooooo white that you can barely see the inclusions through the "whiteness"

sjz, that is indeed an ICY white one! Could that be the elusive color D I3 we''ve all been seeking?
11.gif
I saw that one too! It''s almost completely opaque!!!

I''d had a couple of glasses of wine last night so I have to apologize for drinking and posting....I got WAY too much of a kick out of the ugly rings!!
9.gif

Wow that one looks VERY ICY WHITE DIAMONDS!!!!
9.gif

I love when on eBay they note how ''white'' the diamond is...well it''s not supposed to be OPAQUE!!

One of my worst fears is that I''ll come across someone wearing a diamond like that some day and I won''t know what to say.

I''d probably try to be tactful and say something like "Oh, that''s the most INTERESTING diamond I''ve ever seen...congratulations!" But in my head I would be thinking..."HOLY SPITBALL!

My fiance is an MD and through her I have learned that there is one thing you never want to hear your doctor or nurse say and that would be something to the affect of, "That''s interesting...."

What a beautiful ring! You did a great job.

OMG, I''ve never seen such frightening diamonds. Absolutely scary. They look like someone tried to sprinkle a chunk of black pepper onto their salad and missed. Yikes!!!

I need to dig up the picture of the one I posted when I first joined...

You know you have a problem when you have so many diamond pictures that you can''t find anything

Looking at those diamonds sure make you appreciate the fact that you husband/wife may be smarter than you think! Thank gosh mine was smart enough to not get me a faceted lump of coal like the ones on that website

Oh, wow! Those do look like some kind of... condition that one should be diplomatic about. Gee! I hope they sell for $1 and no one gets hurt in the process.

I do not know for whom to feel bad first: the buyer, the seller or the maker.

I can''t process that anyone would buy this. I might as well get a pebble from my driveway and mount it.

Jennifer5973--the pebble from your driveway probably has better clarity

No kidding! According to the description (if I remember correctly..its been a while) was 7.5ct I3 (
33.gif
) for $3K (or was it $6K???) I can''t remember but I know it was more than $3,000. Insane. And for that to be classified as an I3 is just stupid. More like Z-25!

Here''s one for the ladies that like the fancies.
