Singlestone settings, prices?

Is anyone familiar with Singlestone of Los Angeles? They feature vintage rings and new settings/rings modeled after vintage sings. However, they have no prices listed for any of their rings on their website -- www.singlestone.com -- and I'm interested hearing from someone who is familiar with their rings' quality and value. Any input appreciated!

Hi Lizabeth, Singlestone settings are highly regarded here on PS, the quality is considered to be excellent - the settings are also known to be expensive. You should probably just contact the company for specific prices.

There are multiple threads on SS pieces. SS just did a trunk show in SF this past weekend. Call them to see if they will be gaveling near you and find out which jewelers near you may carry their pieces. Heather at SS is really nice and can provide specific details on piece that you like. All their setting prices vary but they are NOT cheap.

Does anyone know if you can negotiate for a slight discount on their pieces (lower cost ones like plain bands) either directly through SS or one of their retailers like Greenwich?

The jeweler I just visited said they'd take a little off the tag price. It would be the jeweler I think you have visited before, Logan. But I personally would deal directly with SS.

Many of the settings (without center stone) are going to be in the $4-6k range. Just to give you an idea, the price on this ring was $9000.

I have never tried but doesn't hurt to ask...

I believe SS is working on their own e-commerce site, but in the meantime you can get an idea on prices from those listed at Greenwich Jewelers and 1stdibs.
You can also contact Heather @ SS for pricing on specific rings. I do know they discount their custom settings if they source the center stone.
(The band below was $6000 when I checked a while back...)

Ouch!! I was hoping S'S rings would be a bit cheaper because they generally use higher color (less expensive?) diamonds. I had searched the Pricescope site for information on "Singlestone" but nothing much shows up. Thanks to you all, I switched my search to "Single Stone" and I'm seeing lots of posts about the company and its rings. Beautiful but much to expensive for me to do anything but admire from afar.

Thank you!

There's nothing inexpensive about this brand, and nothing "cheaper" about higher color stones.

I am afraid a lot of us will be admiring them from afar! I think you meant lower color stones which are less expensive. But the stones in the french cut bands posted are very expensive. Try looking at Beverley K for antique style rings that are much less expensive.

My SS ring which is by one of my favorite rings. If I could go back in time I would never do hand forged and would have gone with SS every single time. From my quotes SS is more expensive then other PS vendors, but worth every single cent. The craftsmanship that went into my ring blows my mind and I'm extremely picky about my settings.

I also think that Ari, Heather and Molly are WONDERFUL to work with. I had an issue with my first ring they made. Ari called me right away and we worked out the issue. They made me a completely new ring. Ari said he just wanted me happy and I was so impressed with how they responded! Next time I reset my AC it will be with SS.

SB, that is a magnificent ring!!!   Gosh, you and Yenny do make me feel like maybe it is worth it for a couple of special pieces!

DS, if this is going to be your forever setting, for an AVR as beautiful as yours, I would consider SS. I don't know how you could go wrong with them. :). Ari is so super nice, as is everyone there.

Yummy, SB! :cheeky: Do you have a top view of it?

Thanks, LLJsmom! I do think I should strongly consider it. I think the hardest part for me is not actually being able to go to their main store to try things on together. But they are coming to a location not too far from me in October for a trunk show, but it may fall on my daughter's birthday/fall break from college and that may prohibit my going. Otherwise, I guess they could take pictures of e-rings with bands for me.

I have to second everything that's been said. I have two SS rings and the craftsmanship and customer service is second to none. Yes, they are pricey, but their only goal is making the customer happy (even when, like Sarah, I wasn't happy with the ring they made--and it was MY fault, not theirs, they re-made me an entirely new ring and honored my original quote).....

The product you will receive will be an heirloom.

DS, as far as your AVR goes, you know how I feel...you can't go wrong with either Van Craeynest or SS, though I would be sure to check out the quality of the VC pieces now that ownership has changed hands.

Here are photos of my two rings for the OP for reference.

I adore your rings, Yenny!!!   And I am lucky enough to have seen them and tried them on!!! :appl:

I think Singlestone style fits me better than any other brand overall. I just love a select few items at VC. They are all expensive. But I'd rather have a few things that I really love than many things that I just like!

But to the OP, you can always look to SS in the future if it isnt possible now! BK makes great pieces at affordable prices especially in 18k wg (or any color gold).

I adore Single Stone and the people are so friendly.
Unfortunately it indeed comes with a nice price tag as has been mentioned. But a girl can dream :halo:

SB: I saw yours over in the colored stone thread. It's so intricate and beautifully made  . I hope you will post more photo's but I understand your considerations not to post more pucs.

(DS: I hope you will get a Single Stone setting. It will be gorgeous for your AVR  )

Those band prices are much better, Acinom!! Thanks for posting them for us! They are all beautiful!

DK makes that same top band for $650 in WG. Highly recommend!

Thanks everyone for the compliments! I love my SS ring! I wish I could show how gorgeous it is in photos, but my camera skills are pathetic!

Really? That is a great recommendation. For the OP I mean: I am so banned :naughty: . I have to live vicariously through you all!

SB: we loooooooooooove your photography skills. Just a little point and shoot will do. And especially since there is no way you can make that pretty young thing look bad

Yup it took 10 rounds of CAD but we got there, and I know other PS'ers have purchased it since and been extremely happy with it. I compared it to the SS version and I doubt most people could tell the difference. SS version is 2.6k, which DK charges $650 in WG/RG/YG. PLAT is more but still under 1k.

It's gorgeous SB!!!

I hope you will post pics of your tourmaline ring as well. It looks so yummy.

DS I love that ring - I tried it on in a half eternity - beautifully made, you could really feel the quality. I suppose it's the old story, you pay for what you get. I was quoted $3,600. :wavey:

The SS bands are really lovely. I'm not sure if you can tell from my pics, but the SS band is actually set with tiny OECs.

Of course I do! I just love this band...
BTW - another PSer mentioned this in a different post, but if you haven't peeked at SS's 2 instagram accounts it's well worth it just to check out the band combos!
