Sidestones for mahenge spinel?

Double sets of step cuts please!!! It reminds me of this ring that Gypsy posted a while back. Its literally the single ring I have saved in my e-ring inspiration folder (well, technically its still on my desktop as I haven't made the folder yet since there's just one pic...but as soon as I do this ring is going to be the first one in!). You get the idea.

Yes that looks perfect to me. Doesn''t that belong to a PSer? LOVE it.

I think it''s Harriet''s spessertite.

It is.

Uppy- I''m glad you decided on diamonds....I''m with LD that I just don''t like mixing colors. I love the leon setting you chose for the Mahenge- i can''t wait to see the finished product. Many of your rings I have in my inspiration folder!

How sweet. Thank you Sarah! It''s going to take me a while to save up for this puppy. I''ve requested a quote from Leon. I can''t wait for the stone to arrive. It is still at AIG lab for its cert.

I''m glad you decided to go with diamonds as well.

Me too!

Me three - and I think that setting is perfect!

It's really going to satisfy all the seemingly competetive "likes" I've got going on.
~I like the elongated shape of the spinel and want to acknowlege that, especially since I've got short, chubby fingers
~the mixed native cut of this stone will be showcased by the step cuts of the baguettes
~I've always thought that white diamonds and metal are the best for these stones, although I'm normally a yellow or mixed metal gal
~sometimes in an effort to be formal, rings get fussy. I don't like fussy, but felt this stone deserves to be "respected" for it's unique nature
~Deco is my ideal style
~I secretly really wanted a Leon, and to let him do his thing

I love that setting, good choice! :)
