Hey guys,

Looking at 2 pear-shaped side stones to go along with 2.5 c RB, platinum setting.
Sizes that were recommended are .32, .40 and .50 c for each side stone. I heard .50 might be too big and may take away from the appearance of the center stone.

I realize it is personal taste, but which size do you think is best suited/most proportionate for a 2.5c center stone?

Thanks! :wavey:

.32 or .4. i would do the .32. supposed to accent and accentuate

depends on the shape & dimensions of the pears - if they're short and chubby I'd go w/ a smaller ctw than if they're long and slender, b/c the width of centre-to-side is what the eyes acknowledge first - but I prefer squat, fat pears so that further biases my opinion :))

I personally usually prefer smaller sidestones to larger.

I would go with the smaller ones :)

I also prefer the smaller ones. Certainly highlights the centre stone.

+1 to yssie's point about dimensional size.
Pear shapes can vary in depth by large margins- so a given .35ct can be just as long and wide as a another .50ct.
It's very helpful to place the side stones next to the center and see how they look with that center.
I love pears as side stones!

As always your opinions and knowledge is awesome. Thanks again for the help! Keep you updated.
