At first I wanted a princess cut, then a cushion... then back to a princess, something like this Tacori setting.

what i thought i wanted was a diamond, channel set, half round, princess set band. i wanted only one ring - so i wanted a reasonable carat weight in it - say, 7 x 35 pt stones.

what i ended up with was this...5 stone ruby set ring, hall marked 1910, which i wear with a plain round rose gold band. these photos make it look dark and dull, but those stones are a rich red IRL. as best as we can tell, it has about 2 cts of rubies in total and will one day have its stones replaced; it''s very thin in places and one day the inevitable will happen and they''ll fall out. but till then - i love it!
