My Saturday just turned a little brighter! After about a 7 month wait, my perlee bangle just arrived. This has always been the VCA piece that made my heart flutter. Below are a few shots with me playing around with stacking but honestly I am scared of scratches so it probably will be a standalone bangle unless I get the POG bangle. I included a pic of my tennis braclet which I upgrade about 3 months ago but never posted.

Wow wow wow!! That's a whole stack of fancy!
Congrats on your new Perlee bracelet and also on such a substantial new tennis bracelet.
I feel the same as you as far as scratching so those babies would have to fly solo for me. Thank goodness we have two wrists!
Wear them both in good health and happy times!

Love love all three pieces. As a stack lover I must say go for it. You definitely need to wear tennis and the Perlee together. That look is perfection. As long as bracelets don’t overlap no worries about Scratches

Beautiful! I especially like the look you have in the first pic, the colors flow so nicely with your cool chalcedony Alhambra bracelet (and that EC ring is TDF! Hubba hubba!)

Gorgeous!!! I especially like it with your chalcedony, the icy combo is just dreamy

Seven months is a heck of a wait for a non-SO. Your patience was well worth it though, it is a beautiful piece and you wear it well ❤️

Finally found a YG Guilloche bracelet in stock (that was a feat in itself) and got to try it on. This piece is just beyond gorgeous. Definitely up there on my wish list! 338490AC-FA34-472B-B66B-6EFCCAE5292A.jpeg

Every single piece in these pics is just fabulous! I adore your rings and the new tennis bracelet! The new Perlee Clover bangle is a worthy addition to your collection and my favorite bangle in the world!

Still drooling over those photos.

Why didn’t any of you good people tell me how addictive VCA was before I started? It is ridiculous! It shouldn’t be….and YET.

Seriously, their tagline should be “VCA. You can’t have just one.”

Omg. I LOOOOOOOVE the wg guilloche bracelet on you!!!! Did it make your list of future purchases?

**tries to swim off Ban Island in the direction of VCA**

The WG guilloche is a stunning piece. I certainly wouldn't mind it if someone gave it to me. But I have other pieces that I would prioritize. It's almost too stunning, too flashy. It outshines my other WG 5 motifs. I found I liked it best with the black Hermes leather bracelet or by itself. I can see myself staring at it a lot if I had it on.

Ohhh...I love these. So, enquiring minds want to know, what's next on your list?

I think the Guilloché 20 piece looks perfect on you.

I love the pave sweet bracelet. It goes with everything, is light weight and very easy to wear. Probably should have bought it a long time ago, but it has taken this long for me to realize it. I don't even need to take it off.

The 20 is a glamorous piece, substantial, super blingy with lots of attitude. I think it would look splendid on you. I hope you have a chance to try it on.

That’s so interesting to hear! I haven’t seen a piece of guilloche in person, but this definitely gives me pause about it. Wouldn’t want one piece to outshine all others like that. What did you think of the 20 motif necklace? It looked pretty amazing on you from a still photo!

Edit to add I’m an idiot yes I did see guilloche in person in Vegas. But in yellow gold not white. WOW. How quickly one forgets. It was gorgeous and yes, it was very blingy. I would love to see yellow gold guilloche next to the white to compare, because I’m guessing they reflect light very differently.

The pave sweet definitely looked gorgeous on you! Did you feel like the sweet motifs were too small? I would love to try one of these but darn my big wrists, the sweet bracelets are sized so that they aren’t long enough for me so I didn’t even bother when I was at VCA. But maybe that was silly because I’m guessing that if one asked, they would add a link or two. I wonder what the price difference is between the pave vintage and pave sweet. Probably enough to make the pave sweet really appealing. Would you wear it with your tennis bracelet or would that be too much?

The 20 motif is gorgeous in and of itself. If I had “that life”, lol, and that budget, I would love it. to me it’s so attention grabbing that I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing it. But there are plenty of people who would so I am happy to just look at pictures. I’m finding it easier and easier to buy for my real life rather than my imaginary life.

The pave sweets are more #myreality. I realize that I don’t wear any 5 motif 24/7 because I don’t want get them wet, scratch them and because I feel them on. I don’t mind wearing them during the day but at night they come off. The only pieces I wear 24/7 are my diamond pendant and my ering if I feel like it. I don’t “feel” these on at all. I wouldn’t feel there sweet pave. So I get to have super pretty bling (and I am in love with how the pave sweet motifs look) on 24/7 and never have to think about it. I would probably wear it so much I’d need to get it replaced in 5 years. And I’d be ok with that cause I would get so much wear out of it. I held back in the past because I thought the small size would bother me and now I know that little bit of exquisite and perfect VCA pave workmanship on my arm is exactly what I need. Thanks for asking. I never put it into words but now I know. I finally realize and ACCEPT that I am a jewelry minimalist (albeit an expensive one) at heart although I love maxi looks and feel like it 5% of the time. The vintage is about $26K (or more after this price increase) and I did consider it at one time. But I knew it did not work for my life.

You know, a 20 motif of any kind would not be for me, either. My issue with long necklaces (is this just me?) is that they move over and one side ends up caught over one boob. And there they stay.

I hear you on wanting hard-wearing 24/7 pieces. That’s such an appealing idea. I could see you in that pave sweet bracelet. If you wore it round the clock, what would you do for cleaning?

My wg vintage Alhambra is off for sizing right now but I’m thinking that’s what that bracelet will be for me—more of a never-take-it-off piece. Except that I would to work out because I’m not putting wrist wraps over VCA when I bench press. Sigh. This is why I have no Love bracelet. My zapped on tiny paperclip chain goes right under the wrist wraps and causes zero issues but it’s probably as big as I could get away with.

Interesting to hear you say you are a jewelry minimalist. Do you mean with size or with wanting to wear the same pieces every day? Or is it more to do with how the pieces feel and perform in your life?

I have the sweet pave and I love it and wear it all the time! I sleep with it, which is probably a big no no, but I’m just not that careful with my jewelry. That is why I don’t have any VCA pieces with stones, as I’m sure that I would crack, scratch or get them wet. I always admire them though, and I love the pop of color, but I know myself.
I have small wrists (13cm/13.5cm) so it is a really good everyday bracelet for me, and I do wear it with a tennis bracelet, but an EC one which is a little less blingy than my mrb bracelet.

FWIW I think the WG guilloche is somehow flashier than the YG. My mom tried on the YG guilloche when we were window shopping for my bday last year, and the bracelet felt very blingy (too much for my daily wear, and I wanted an every day piece) ,but not as flashy as the WG looks to me from pics. Just my opinion, and I still think the WG is magnificent!

I can’t wait until the next time I’m at a VCA to (hopefully, if they have both in stock) compare.

Does anyone else feel like inside you there are two wolves? One is the inner blingy wolf who would go head to toe covered in the jewelry equivalent of sequins daily, and the other is the inner Audrey Hepburn wolf who is understated and minimal? Apparently you have to decide which of these beasts to feed.

Congratulations!! The WG clover is such a stunning piece. :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2: I hope you enjoy it every second it's on your arm. Such an iconic VCA piece. So happy for you.

Hi Tonks! Sounds like you're really considering this. If you like, you can share your email with DS and she can connect us. I can share some videos of the WG guilloche with you. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I agree with you. The 20 logistically doesn't work for me too. It's really heavy...for me. It's the heaviest 20 I've ever tried.

I think your WG hammered is a perfect daily piece that you can wear without worry of scratching, showing damage, getting wet, and goes with everything, all your WG pieces. I am looking forward to seeing your stack when the WG hammered gets back to you.

I guess I see myself as a minimalist because I do like to wear relatively small pieces such as studs, rarely a serious RHR, barely a necklace (most comfortable with a solitaire pendant) and I usually don't feel comfortable stacking. I am quite lazy and don't tend to change my jewelry daily, thus these pieces need to work with everything - WG/platinum - ering, watch and studs. Pendant stays on 24/7. On only 1-2 days of the week do I have the motivation to consider adding a bracelet or changing my earrings to coordinate with my outfit.

What are you @Tonks? How are you feeling VCA fits into your life?

And I fully understand about the VCA addiction. Some pieces are so perfectly thought out in every detail. And over time, you just discover more and more to love. Sigh...

Oh my goodness!! LOVE all the pieces that you tried on! The combo of the pave sweet and the onyx Alhambra just jumps off your wrist with fabulousness!!!!
Thanks for the VCA tour!

Thanks Rubies. I loved the sweet pave. And it actually stacks great with RG.

Sigh...

I will do that!

I’m not considering it at this time, but for the future. I am firmly on Ban Island right now because I have been given the thumbs up for an ER upgrade next year. However, if I can’t keep my wallet closed until then, the upgrade will need to wait. When the wg guilloche was announced I had been thinking I would hop right on it, so it’s a weird mental transition. Honestly, I will probably be better served in the long run with the wg hammered vintage Alhambra that I just got from DS (better to stack).

In terms of what am I…I am still figuring that out, but in the past few years I’ve made some clarifying strides. Daily I wear studs and pretty much only studs. Watch always. Wedding band or band stack, sometimes ER. Sometimes RHR (usually eternity ring). And in the past little bit (as y’all have seen) I have gone bracelet mad. I’m wearing my JUC daily, and I alternate what I stack it with.

Where does VCA fit in? Still figuring that out. I love the pieces I have because not only do they look good from a distance, but they are beautiful up close—the craftsmanship is just so beautiful. They’re easy to wear, and they dress up or down. They play well with Cartier. Overall I would say the VCA role in my jewelry wardrobe is feminizing what might otherwise be a very masculine or industrial style. I tend to dress very (very) casually, often in jeans or athleisure and sneakers. VCA makes me feel like a grownup.

I do honestly think the hammered wg bracelet works better for you than the guilloche would, because the guilloche definitely needs to be worn alone to prevent scratches that would show up much more because of the shiny metal. The hammered gold bracelets are ideal for those who stack bracelets.

My inner self definitely loves all the feminine pave pieces, yet my lifestyle is far too casual to justify having much of it! My social life is doing things like meeting you at the coffee shop! (And that was truly FUN!!! So I am not complaining at all!)
So the Audrey Hepburn concept really fits me best...I kind of like that association!

This description. What a great way to explain this.

So your JUC is an arm stack anchor right now. That makes sense to me, especially in the context of the explanation you just posted. And you’ve talked about how you appreciate a mix of “masculine” and “feminine” - those aren’t really the right terms but they’ll work for the moment.

My 2c. Which I acknowledge that you haven’t asked for  To me, if I make up a scale from “masculine” to “feminine”, the hammered WG is on the “feminine” side of neutral and the WG guilloche is on the “masculine” side of neutral. But both are still “more feminine” than JUC. So for *me*, mixing guilloche with JUC wouldn’t be as “neutralizing” as the hammered… That’s me, totally get that others might feel differently. But I prefer the hammered, both in general and for your jewellery mixing wants specifically.

Some Mikimoto designs could un-industrialize really well too, I think - without going all in on the proverbial ruffles and foof. (I can say that because I’m a ruffles and foof kind of person ) Maybe something to consider in future if you’re interested? Tons of non-branded and much more cost-effective options as well of course, like a plain baroque Tahitian bracelet. I personally really like that I never see pearls stacked with Cartier and VCA, in the real world or on social media.

But for now I am 100% on board with glueing the purse shut for the diamond upgrade!
