So, this new fw necklace is huge and heavy. I love the weight of it. It's completely over the top...so yeah. I'm going to wear it to sit around wearing no make up and cut off leggings. Cause I have nowhere to go. Worn with wss buttons.

They are such a perfectly delicate warm, too gold to be cream

Thank you so much Daily and Diamonds! I will tell you anything you may want to know.
The smallest pearl is 11mm, and the largest in the front (not counting the large baroque pearl) is 13.2. The front pearls are not very uniform in size, they are 12.6 and 13.2 on either side of the drop. The large (hubby and I cannot tell the exact color...lemon? gold?) light-colored drop pearl is a 21mm x 31mm.

Name this color?

I feel pretty fancy ;-) Oh and these are heavy, so they feel weighty and cool and smooth on the skin. I am wearing them around because they feel nice on...an added bonus!

Those are so beautiful! If I may ask, do you feel that wearing heavy pearls makes you feel less stressed or anxious? I have been stressed out during these trying times and sometimes feel like the weight of heavy pearls feels soothing. I liken it to the thunder vests that people buy their dogs to help calm them. Maybe it's just me but was interested in your thoughts.

That is an interesting point - I was reading that pearls are understood to have "healing properties" - I think depending on your level of spirituality, this can have a range of implications. The mere physical sensation could totally have a soothing effect.

Yes, Exactly that! I hesitated to write about it, but I noticed the weight was soothing. I have never been tempted to buy a weighted blanket, but if that feels like a heavy pearl necklace, I can see the appeal :) Also a sensuous physicality. Pearls make a woman feel feminine. Maybe they harness our "inner Goddess" ;-)

I never knew this, but that helps make sense of it. I think I'll wear them more to help with the 2021 terrors :)

My grey Japanese Akoyas arrived- and they are glorious, just glorious! My pics are terrible where this time of year indoor lighting is poor, but even so, they still show their beauty. Pearls are slightly baroque 8.5mm.

New lever back drops with cfw and Kasumi-like pearl drops from Etsy. Vendor changed to lever backs from hook, and from gold to silver. They just glow so beautifully! Two inches. long. 7EF78960-489B-4373-92C5-CE8C83B191DF.jpeg

Sister bought these directly from Kojima - green Tahitian and pink freshwater metallic drops. 8.5 2E2481B5-FC01-4414-B8AB-8A7482008771.jpeg mm Tahitians and 14 mm drop with 14k gold wires.

Oh Girl, that green Tahitian, though! What an outstanding contrast. I love tahitians like that - they look like they were dipped in a thick glossy coating (just an illusion of course).

I was rummaging through my pearl drawer and placed my SS strands and Tahitian Wilma strand on top. I thought "so pretty" and snapped a pic. :)

Had my harvest strand to keep me company during work from home:

This strand is so pretty. I really love cherry/purple overtones in Tahitians and love the ones in your strand. I also like the very light silver/white pearls that add so much interest to your lovely necklace.

Early start and early finish for work today. I Changed out of my work clothes and put on a comfy T-shirt and jeans. I love freshwater metallics and these two strands called to me today. One strand has a pretty 14k gold clasp.

I love those Tahitians - lovely lustre ! My only real concern is to watch out for them slipping out of your ear. It's a bit hard to tell how long the hook is but I've found that sometimes dangles, because of the swinging, can work their way out. Easy fix by changing to a lever back. But just a concern !
