Help my friend brainstorm settings for e-ring!
She wants something "minimalist, sleek, low, comfortable, casual." Though it may seen contradictory, she also likes "antique-y" settings.
Anyone got some eye candy to start her wheels turning?

Edited to add that the center stone need not be a diamond.
Edited once again to add that low ctw is just fine by her...

Someone just mentioned Larry Pauling today:

And Sholdt Design has several pieces which could qualify...

Then, Greenlakejewelry shows both rustic/ minimalist designs and handmade platinum filigree (the real deal !). In some designs, "old" and "simple" come together. Good thing the pictures from their website cannot be linked here, because I might have listed them all...

I love all those rings. The ones from Green Lake remind me of snow happy and mrssalvos rings!

Valeria to the rescue once again! Thanks for kicking off this thread!

She says that something like a smaller (.5 center, .25 sides), anitique-ified version of this Mark Morrell beauty would fit the bills, except with a blue sapphire as the center stone.

Either, way, belle.

She''s freaked out by size and wants something small. I think, in the long run, she''ll be happier with a *little* weight on her fingers.

Anyone seen anything like the top on in this stack:

That''s how small she wants to go! Lucky guy, her boyfriend is!

Maybe you could have her try clay-pot.com; I''ve seen some of the lines they carry at their store in Brooklyn- often understated, always beautiful & unique...I love many of the little bezel-set rings they carry
