Show me your Jade bangles!!!!!

Here are two of my Guatemalan jadeite bangles. I have 4, and I like to wear them all at the same time, two on each wrist.

That looks fabulous on you.

I'm too nervous to do one on each wrist again. It'll be a long time before I'm brave enough. I did so love the feel of it very much!!!

There was a time when I was wearing three on each wrist.

I think durability is a factor, and I’ve learned things about hardness and stability. It sure was sad to break 4 of these! The Guatemalan jadeite ones don’t have any fault lines, so I’m not worried about them.

These are a lavender/black chicken bangle, a black chicken bangle, and two bluish lavender bangles, all untreated Burmese jade. One of the lavender has a bit of moss in it. After mellowyellowgirl's story about the mosquito on her furbaby leading to an accident, I have been avoiding wearing multiple. I have more bangles that are nephrite but maybe no longer fit me.

You've got the entire Mohs Hardness Scale on your wrists! seriously though, beautiful, especially the Guatemalan!

Everyone here has stunning bangles, but this is hands down my favorite! the deep green, translucency, and polish/finish, beautiful!

Awww thank you so much Adam.

The only jade bangle I have is a reddish brown carved one that my grandmother gave me. The quality isn't anything special but it has sentimental value.

I did love this bangle that I saw at Christie's but could not afford the price tag

Hubby: It looks great on you but I don't think you'll be buying anything for a while until you work out how to get it off!

How am I going to get it off guys!!!! I'm in big trouble!!!

I had to use a bag! I usually just pull things on and off willy nilly.

Looks gorgeous @mellowyellowgirl a very snug fit!
I’m having palpitations already thinking about when you have to remove it, do you have to? ...lol

Vendor is rather unfazed by it! She thinks if I can get it on, I can get it off!

Plus it's apparently sitting decently high on my arm so it's not that tight!

I get the feeling some people wear their bangles pretty tight!

From what I’ve heard you should always wear bangles as snugly as possible. If you don’t need any aid, it’s probably too big for you. In fact I think you can go smaller.

Just use some soap, soap up your hand and the bangle and it will come out quite easily. Be careful and if needed do it over a carpet or the bed so that the bangle is not at risk of dropping on the floor. You can see pics here:

And yes if you can get it on you can get it off. Washing your hand in cold water before taking off the bangle may help as well.

Omg @icy_jade that green one you put on in the other link was tight!!!!

Haha feeling totally inspired right now if you can move that one on and off!!!

Glad it helped! It will be fine, once you get used to yanking it on and off maybe you can consider to go smaller since there are great bargains for smaller sizes.

It is very pretty
does it matter if it stays on
(No chasing mozzies)

This was quite the bargain!!!

Vendor initially thought I was a 54/55 since I'd been buying that size.

She initially waved me off when I asked about this. Then I showed her pics of my arm with the other bangles on and she was like: that's so big!!!!

Yes yes. I always see good deals for the really small sizes. You are so lucky!! I’m a bit envious can you tell? Lol.

Also thought I'd share a picture of one of the photos provided so that anyone interested in Jade can get an idea of what to expect in terms of colour variation.
