@lucida818 I thought I had replied, but this has been a crazy week. I am so sorry for the delay. There are many tutorials on YouTube. I found one that seems pretty clear.

I recommend Pattye for supplies. You'll need a needle and appropriate thread/silk for your pearls. There are different thicknesses of thread. You'll also need gimp/french wire (superfine coiled metal to protect the thread from cutting on the clasp) and tweezers. You may also need a pearl reamer at some point. Also, a felted beading board to lay your creations in the right order. Those are easy to pick up on Amazon.

It takes practice, but it is do-able. Good luck!

Thanks so much @MMtwo for getting back, really appreciate that =)2 =)2 Will look through & practice on cheaper strand of freshie (will buy just for this purpose).
Thanks again :)

They look to me like different views of the same strand. I like it.

I like the pearl size on both strands. I think you would like #3 better than 4. While 4 is gorgeous, strand 3 is a bit smoother and IMHO more elegant which is more in line with the other strands in your collection.

Does #4 have marginally better luster? I can’t see any other difference between the two to warrant the price differential particularly given that #3 seems to have better shape and is more uniform.

Can anyone else see a difference and enlighten me?

Half done! Pattye’s Amber thread is a win!! :appl:

The random bubble style is so much more wearable, I think. Really really happy with this direction ::)

It's hard to tell but from the pictures I am guessing that strand #4 has a deeper golden color.

Got a few more photos today ::) Sorry for the thread spam folks, I'm just seriously stoked about these  They're super cute, super easy to wear, and SO much more cost-effective than my original #GSSGrandPlan!!

32 deep gold GSS, all from the fabulous Pearl Paradise  (18 ) 10-12mm, (1) 9-10mm, and (13) 7-9mm. I used the same clasp on both so they can double up ::)

These look soooo good! I love your picture a bit up-thread where they’re crossed over each other - it’s really striking.

Reviving this old thread with some Takahashi loot!!

Early this year I asked Pearl Paradise about buying some GSS rounds of different sizes. My rep sent me photos of two half-strands - 7-9mm deep golds and 11-12mm light golds. I bought the deep golds to turn my existing PP GSS bracelet into two bubble bracelets; I wasn't sure I'd like the colour of the lighter set, so I held off, but I saved the photos and admired them every so often.

Several weeks later Takahashi posted a few cards of champagne GSSs. I asked after them, and got some pictures and video, but I still wasn't sure about colour so I declined. I did, however, start an order for a few other things! ::)

And then @Ann posted her champagne bracelet (https://www.pricescope.com/communit...seas-bracelet-on-its-way.265886/#post-4961360) - and I went from waffling to needing one pretty much instantaneously!! I chatted briefly with Andrew about the same lot that Ann's came from but by the time I submitted my inquiry most of the affordable sizes were gone, and I didn't want to spend a ton, and I thought rounds would be best, to match my bubbles...

As I was finalizing my order with Takahashi the sales rep helping me informed me that I simply had to buy at least a pair of the champagne golds that she'd showed me earlier because they were really special and romantic. And. Well. I was after champagnes anyway, and she thought so highly of this lot, and I've consistently had good experiences with her, and they were so reasonably priced - heck why not. I bought fourteen and hoped I'd guessed right on length.

I got them a few days ago and I'm THRILLED. They look marvellous!! All within 0.1mm of being perfectly spherical, all completely blemish-free, all smooth-skinned and nicely lustrous  They aren't perfectly matched and they don't have gem luster, but for what I paid I couldn't be happier - and I'm so glad I went for the lot, I'd definitely be kicking myself if I'd bought only two!! They're 11-12mm and I strung them on Pattye's Vanilla.

Photos are stunning and that color just glows on you!!

Yssie was kind enough to take photos of my loot too. I’ll share hers since mine won’t be as nice but I’ll start a thread when I figure out what to make from them!

I’m pretty sure the single is either going in a bracelet with these lavender akoya or in my white akoya necklace to replace the 9mm GSS

Thank you!! ❤️

These pearls are actually a shade or two darker than my ideal, but colour more like @Ann’s wasn’t available and most probably would have been out of budget regardless! These are close enough for me ::)

The clasps are from here!

Nice 18k YG clasps are surprisingly hard to find! I'm really happy with these, they're very nicely made and finished. They do tarnish over time, but that's easily dealt with with a rub or touch of silver polish - I think they've got higher copper content in the alloy than most American 18k YG. No proof of that, just a hunch.

Thank you! And another question - I'm not familiar with your pearl vendor Takahashi. I did see them on IG but do they have a website?
