Show me your faint/light brown diamonds!

I am waiting on my new anniversary band from my husband in the mail. Its graded K-L color SI clarity at .85 carat.

I'm sure my engagement ring diamond would rank somewhere in the champagne scale if it were properly graded. It goes from showing pretty intense colour (below) to being a really pretty soft peachy-orangy colour (just a little bit ginger, like me  ). I adore it and couldn't imagine having anything else.

4ever, so pretty with your skin! How did you decide you wanted a champagne diamond as your e-ring? Had you always known? I'm always so interested in people's paths toward less conventional e-ring choices, and yours is gorgeous!!

Very nice set 4ever! Really love your e ring and that stone is a beautiful colour!

Got my ring today in the mail & have pictures! K-L in color SI in clarity .85 carats. On my pinky until I get it sized!

I actually never thought I would have one until I tried this ring on- or that I would choose a pear. I'm very fair with slightly strawberry-blonde/gingery hair and this diamond just seemed to be very me - it was love at first sight. Also white diamonds just don't do it for me the way tinted and lightly coloured stones do - I've had white diamonds before and since and while I do like them a lot, looking at them doesn't melt my heart the way nice warm creamy or softly tinted diamonds do *swoon*

Perfection! What I wouldn't give to play with this for a few hours...day.....WOW!

4ever, as a fellow redhead, I totally agree that white-white diamonds don't play as well as warmer ones. =) Yours is absolutely gorgeous!

I started this thread because I was considering a K faint brown RB that, unfortunately, behaves very badly in person (thanks to B2C Jewels for their brutal honesty... "looks blackish with naked eyes" is not a phrase you want to hear about your potential e-ring stone!).

But for all those who love champagne stones, I wanted to show you this one -- could be a really good bargain. http://www.sanfranciscoprovident.com/p-347-300ct-tw-3-stone-round-diamond-ring.aspx . I inquired about it (then, 24h later, completely did an about-face and fell in love with OECs, so didn't pursue further) and it's not certed, but the seller estimates SI1-2 without eye-visible inclusions, thinks it performs beautifully, with slight-med fluoro, an intact girdle, and 55-57% table. 2.5ct (est) center for under $9k? Happy Valentine's day, anyone? ;)

Here's my faint/light brown diamond contribution:
Diamonds that outline the discs and leverback are "champagne" diamonds aka light brown.
