I've got emeralds on the brain, and I would love to see some of your beautiful emerald pendants for inspiration. Thanks!

Thank you :) I have been enjoying it lately, along with new pretty earrings from LT :) pretty close match! On the page this is showing olive, but it is a clear green in real life.

Thank you! It was custom made by a local jewelers who had a massive stone inventory. They used to travel to gem shows. They closed about three years ago, but I picked the stone out of a box of emeralds back in the day - in 2016 or so. He said it was Columbian.

Now I look at emerald prices and wonder what happened, they are or seem to be more expensive now.

Lucky you for being able to pick through and find the stones that speak to you.
Great back story on how everything came together for you. Thank you.
And yes- of course now that I am actively looking, everything is expensive.

This is a .85 emerald from the Coscuez mine, one of the Muzo mines. It is a little more blue than the photo shows.

I bought it from my Columbian hairdresser.

I absolutely love this pendant- and the color to me is amazing! I don’t see the olive you mention.

Thank you. My phone shows bright green, but my computer upstairs showed a sad, drab olive modifier.

Downstairs at my work computer today, it looks brighter. YAY!

One more picture, comparing this to a green untreated jadeite leaf. My dad told me about seeing jade like this when I was a child. He said it rivaled Emerald. I finally have a little bit in my collection. I can’t afford more. Can you imagine a bangle made of this? Although, to be fair thicker material would be darker.

Here’s mine. It’s a Carvin French piece I found at TRR. Sent it to AGL. Columbian, minor oil. F7134447-BF3E-4485-ACD5-5C290DE2C950.jpeg

I LOVE this! What's TRR and AGL? What's the white stone? I bookmarked it for inspiration in the future.

The Real Real, a consignment store. AGL is the lab that is best known in the US for origins and treatments for colored stones. The white stone is a diamond bead—a very clear and lovely cut I’ve never seen before. The designer supplied a lot of top names back in the day. They do lovely work. I’m a fan. Thanks for liking my post.

Of course! I have heard of The Real Real. Sometimes the acronyms don't click.
I know you will wear that well. Pictures welcome anytime! It is so unusual and chic!
