I love the look of travertine and apparently it stays cool underfoot. However, friends with travertine have had horrible issues with it. It moves and heaves up periodically. Apologies if I’m not explaining that well. But parts of it will pop up and become a tripping issue.

We don’t have a pool but I love the idea of a tanning ledge to just sit in a bit of water and read. And the shape of yours is great! For some reason my eye likes straight lines on pools rather than curves.

So I have decided to stick to classic and timeless, and will be going with brick. Your comment reassures me that I am making the right decision!

Classic is always right. Glad to reassure! I hope you can get it done in time for summer. Every summer we wish for a pool.
