An update for my flower cluster ring project - I have purchased the centre stone!
It is a 7mm pink Sapphire that Jeff W sourced for me during his trip to Tucson in 2020 shortly before Covid-19 kicked in, recut from a slightly larger stone that had a small window. This stone is my most expensive CS to date!
This is the cluster ring setting that I have always loved ever since I saw it some years ago, an air gap halo, with no millgrain and a wider comfort shank:

My new cluster - chunky and mis shapen, just like me! Estimated 2.2 tcw in platinum. Set very low so it’s easy to wear daily. size 10 finger sadly but it’s still got presence. How I yearn for dainty hands and feet!

I said "Yssie has the designs-of-death collection, but Elle has the colored stones-to-end-all-colored-stones collection. She took my Gloria Floria and blew it out of the water with a colored center! Exactly what I should have done in the first place!"

Anyway, I estimate between 1-2 ct. total weight, invested $400.And last one! (Sorry about this - I'd have put them all in one post if they had fitted!) These are the earrings. I'm actually contemplating a larger pair in yellow gold for drops from a design Amy from DK did for me. We'll see - I have a bunch of projects for this year and don't see myself getting to that. The design is a pear stud with curved 'stem' drop with the occasional marquise diamond for 'leaves', then the cluster down the bottom. Wow - it looked so much better in the sketches than that sounds in print!!
