Yep, you had one and killed it alright! But I LOVES it now!!!

The closest thing I have to one doesn''t quite have a 3 ct. center, but I can''t post it because my poor computer is running in safe mode. I need to buy a new computer but I hate spending money on something so not fun!

Well, I could post the one I just "killed" - I took the center stone out to put in my other setting. This was a ring DH''s aunt gave me. Not my style; would probably never wear it. Some have suggested putting a colored stone where the center diamond was. Others say use the diamonds for recycling projects. For now, I am going to do nothing.

No pics, I know not fair, but it's in the safety deposit box. Nanny gave me a 12 carat emerald cut aquamarine ring flanked with diamonds on the sides. Since I have hands the size of a kindergartner, away it went for safe keeping for my daughter. Ashley has long thin fingers, and adores this ring. She's getting it as a graduation gift from college, not the only gift, but a special one from Nanny. She has no idea, so it will be a great suprise!!!

OFG, since you are using the center stone for your Quest ring, I think I''d probably recycle the rest, too. If it were mine, I''d probably consider a DBY project for the smaller stones and perhaps earrings with the 2 side stones. It was a pretty ring, though. I just wouldn''t have much of an occasion to wear it either.

Well, I think some of us may fudge a little on the 3 carat minimum. I think I have a couple that have more like 2.5 ct. centers. But that one certainly looks like it would be at least 3 cts. if the center part was one solid stone!

Aw, it really will Lisa!! And good lord, I can only imagine how big that thing is, it''s almost double the size mine was.
