I haven’t set these yet but they were purchased many years ago from ACS but still faceted by Barry. The blue round is a spinel and the greenish blue rectangular stone is a tourmaline.

Yay, VL! I forgot it was Wednesday and he would have his new drop. By the time I logged on, that spinel was gone. Yippee it went to someone like you who will provide photos of the little tyke as it grows up!!!

I was afraid to say it was mine. Barry said there were at least 5 people who emailed him about the stone and the possibility of there being more of this rough (there isn't). I figure that even had I not gotten it still at least 4 of those 5 would still be upset. You all know how it can be when Barry puts up new stones, the constant refreshing of the page the frantic frenzy trying to complete the checkout. I was already logged in to the site. I saw the color and went on automatic. Didn't even read the description. I think I was halfway through checkout before I even knew the stone was spinel, I was going only on color, cut and faith. I didn't even know how much it was! I thought about that as I entered my card number, and immediately said to my self that it didn't matter because Barry is honest and fair. I know that I am extremely fortunate to be getting this outstanding stone. I am going to break out the gold for this one.

Davi, there was no time to even wonder about asking questions. If the stone is going to give me that color in some lights it can do whatever it wants to in the others (though I do hope it gives this color in all of them).

BabyNurse thanks for being glad for me. Im guessing that you were one of the 5 who wrote Barry. There will always be other stones. I said that to myself when that padparadscha like tourmaline was snapped right up a few weeks ago, and then it came true (though Id still love to know where that stone went!)

I got one and its in the color I wanted This is Barry's picture not mine, I have not taken pictures yet nor have I gotten it set yet, I am working lots of OT to scrape up the money to get it set!! It is a 6.8mm Pink Tourmaline!!

I actually just received this in the mail today though:


I have yet to take good photos as the sun is already down, but will try bright and early tomorrow morning In fact, I was so excited about this that I already ran over to ID Jewelry yesterday and started looking at ring settings lol. I had Barry take an outdoor photo before I purchased it:


I used a small white flashlight on it just to see how it would react, and it's got such incredible pink, red, orange, and blue flashes. When I stepped into my dining room, it turned a orangish brown (don't remember what type of bulb). Otherwise in incandescent lighting, it's slightly orange deep pink/magenta and sooo sparkly. None of my photos I tried now even came close to the color I see, except for maybe this one:

Guys, sorry I am a new ACT fan, so what does "Wednesday drop" mean? Does it happen each Wednesday? I can ask Barry, he is very nice and fun to talk to, but I do not want to distract him from work. So can you explain me, please? Is it a mailing list? Or does it happen each Wednesday?

Barry doesn’t do monthly stone for sale updates unlike most vendors. He usually updates stones for sale every Wednesdays (from what I recall). There used to be a monthly mailing list but I don’t he sends those out anymore since he started the weekly updates.

I hoped to have something new to show you but it hasn't arrived yet...but I bought that pear-shaped moonstone to put with my others, and that Wello opal with all the pinpoint play of color. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until next Friday to see it as I had it shipped to my office and I'm traveling next week.
