My 1.72 J VS1 rose gold CvB. Inspired by all of the gorgeous rose gold sets on PS. I've posted this elsewhere, but it's fun to have all the AV stones in one place! 0301181043.jpg

Gorgeous ring! I love the way you stack it too. There's just something about rose gold and bright diamonds that speaks to me. :kiss2:

Thanks, and me too! I'd like to get a rose pendant to wear with this stack.

Very very pretty!! What is the band width on the shoulders? It looks so delicate.

Thanks, @Stone Hunter, it's hard to tell with my middle-aged eyes, but the shank looks like 1.5mm widening to 3mm at the very top where it attaches to the basket. But yes, it is very delicate. A total departure from my sturdy Tacori HT2352!

I totally missed your post since it was during the holidays! Did you have this stone custom cut? Because I have not ever seen it, and there are very few AVR stones over 2.5 cts period, and even fewer at I color or higher! I hope you will post more pictures!

Here's mine. Purchased pre-loved and still in the setting it came in. 1.111 ct M SI1. Not sure how I want to reset it yet.

Love it. What are your thoughts re setting? I love the solitaire setting it is in...classic and elegant and really shows off the stone. If you want to keep it as a solitaire but change it a bit I think delicate tiny double prongs would look beautiful.

@missy, thank you. I may keep it as a soli but I would want a little wider shank. This one is very thin at the top. And I agree, dainty double prongs if I go that way. I am also thinking of making it a three stone (with not too large side stones) but can't figure out what cut of side stones to use. Any suggestions?

Hmm well, I would probably want to keep the side stones the same cut as the main attraction. So they wouldn't compete with each other. Same facet pattern would be most pleasing to my eye. But of course, as with all things bling, it is your eye that matters.

The side stones here are probably larger than you were thinking but just using this as an example of all 3 stones being the same cut. And I think it is a delicious ring too.

I agree, but I think it will be difficult to find two smaller matching AVCs in the same color. That's why I've tried to figure out if there is another option.

There are many options but it comes down to your preferences. Personally I do not think I would care for another stone for sidetones in a 3 stone with your main stone but viva la difference. Do not settle however. You can wear it as a solitaire until just the right stones present themselves if you kwim. Or just reset it into your dream solitiare. It's a beautiful stone.

If you have your heart set on a 3 OMC stone ring contact the old cut vendors now and let them know your criteria. You never know what they might have or come across. You won't know unless you ask. Good luck.

@marymm your ring is gorgeous. I was thinking of something similar (although my AVC is much smaller). I'd love to see a straight on shot of your ring. I was thinking of trying to find small OEC's as side stones. I also was hoping to get 2 smaller AVRs or AVCs and wrote to Jonathan about it but he didn't get back to me after I told him I was hoping for 2 smaller stones in the K/L/M range. I had seen this ring posted on Grace's instagram and thought I'd use it as an inspiration of sorts.

DK recently made a 5 stone for me with a similar vibe so I thought doing something similar with the cushion would be nice as I love the 5 stone. This is what it looks like. I think you've seen it.

*Swoon*. LOVE this ring so much!:love::love: Everything about it is perfect. Love the cushion/round combo. :appl: I have to admit to being a bit jelly over this one!
