I''ll post a link instead of a picture because Pricescope won''t let me upload ANYTHING.

My dress was Maggie Sottero, and it was about $850.

It''s "Cherelle". Unfortunately in the photos you can''t see all of the intricately beaded lace appliques on it.

Oooooo, so many wonderful responses!!!

Here we go:

Kittybean: your dress is absolutely breathtaking on you! You have a lovely figure--I''m sure anything would look gorgeous on you, but wow, you did reeeeeal good!! I only wish I could pull off something so form-fitting! (P.S. I have ogled at your e-ring a LOT--it''s probably my favorite on PS; it''s just perfect!)

iwanna: you are going to be such a beeeeautiful bride, and SO SOON! your dress suits you perfectly, and you are just going to GLOW (in fact, every picture I''ve seen of you, you glow!) purty girl, you!

doodle: what a deal! such a pretty, antique-y looking gown

galvana: I love the cap sleeves--it really adds something to the gown, don''t you think? I do think strapless can be so pretty, but it really is nice to be a little different

LAJennifer: now that''s an incredible price!! You look just stunning

mintve: I

the silhouette of your dress! So pretty!

sweetjettagirl: the pictures of you in your gown are just wonderful--you look thrilled, and SO pretty; the dress is perfect on you
10.gif

cleopatra: Thank you so much for looking for me! I will have to check out some Maggie Sottero gowns for sure--I just haven''t seen any in person yet...of course, I haven''t looked that much either...

musey: first of all, apropos of nothing, I love your hair
9.gif
! secondly, Pronovias does make pretty gowns, and yours is no exception--and it looks even better on you than on the model, IMO!!

angeielea: oooo, I loooooove that dress! So clean, so sophisticated...I have tried on a few that are just simple with clean lines like that, and there is something to be said for dresses that are so understated. I am definitely considering one like this...

hudsonhawk: how different!!! and you really rock it, too--I swear, PSers are the prettiest people! I really love how the bottom looks on you...I don''t think I''ve ever seen a dress like that!

neatfreak: ditto to everything I said to angeielea! not to mention that you were an absolutely breathtaking bride--and you looked so happy

(I''d love to see a closeup of that necklace too!

)

julesbeth: that neckline/sleeves are TDF! When I was first looking at bridal magazines, I saw a neckline just like that and I just fell head over heels...was that part of the dress? It almost looks like a bolero--it''s just gorgeous!

meresal: another gorgeous PSer! Love your gown on you
37.gif

marchswallowbird: that is a great gown--the lace is incredible...I love little details like that; they really just make you feel so special! beeeeeautiful!

mimzy: you''re SO lovely, and that dress shows off your awesome figure! Love the sparklies
36.gif

DMBsgirl: that is one of my favorite silhouettes and I love that we are like-minded with the shiny-things
2.gif
you''re going to be one gorgeous bride!

redfaerythinker: oh, that dress suits you just beautifully--the detail is perfect, and again, I really like that you''re doing something different on top than the usual strapless! You look so pretty and happy! Isn''t the pickup so fun?

gwyn: I''m a big fan of the sweetheart neckline too! I think it''s so flattering, though you (and I feel like a broken record already, though it''s all so true!) have an awesome figure, so you''d be able to pull off a paper bag!

lisamarie: more info, please!! that dress is innnnnncredible--I love the detail on the back; I''d be really interested in trying on something like that!

nocturnius: wow, you were just stunning--and those photos are wonderful! I love the little details--I will have to look it up to see it better

Aww you are very sweet. If you think I look happy you should see the pictures of my DH, I don''t think he stopped smiling all day!

The necklace is an antique double strand of pearls-they were my great grandmothers. Here is a better picture, there is also an intricate clasp with a few diamonds and sapphires but I can''t find a good pic of that. I''ve never posted it because when I got married we still had the blanket pearl ban. But now I guess I can since it''s bridal jewelry!

And Casablanca is a super nice company to work with BTW-they will customize almost anything for you and rush charges are very reasonable should you need them!

Thank you!

Here are some better detail shots:

The back, unlaced

The front as I was getting laced up, I think it looks better on a body

A better long shot of the front

A shot of the side with the fan-shaped train

And a shot of the side with the bustl, which was a five-point bustle that the only way I can describe it is that it looked kind of like a theater curtain

You can really see how the beading sparkled in that last picture!

Hi alli!

My dress was the same as neatfreak''s...the Casablanca 1831, but I left everything as-is, beading, etc... (Thanks again for the inspiration, nf!) I got mine for $420 with $12 shipping...can you beat that???

It does have real buttons and loops, but they do go all the way down the back...it was one of my favorite things about the dress, actually!

I can''t get any of the pictures to attach, but here is my wedding thread:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/married-in-maui-harleighs-wedding-photos.94210/

There is a close-up of the dress in one photo that is really the only one where you can see the Swarovski crystals on it...they were very minimal and understated!

There are also a few of me by myself, I think, where you can see the buttons down the back.

I''ll keep trying to attach at least one pic...

Mine is La Sposa''a Margarita. It''s a sample dress from a consignment shop. Retail is $1800, I paid $925. Here is the dress on the model. I swear, this model has got to be standing on a box or something, she looks about 8 feet tall! There are a few pics of me in the dress in this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/consignment-shop.94944/ I have yet to get a good shot of the entire dress with me in it... my mom has a few in her camera, but she''s a little.... technologically challenged?? haha... she is so proud she finally figured out how to send a text message through her cell!

Thanks so much for your nice comments, Alli! I ended up getting my dress for <$1000, which was so exciting for me. Another gorgeous, gorgeous dress I tried on is the Watters Florence (link here), and it was also retailing for <$2K. The floral appliques on it were amazing in person. Not sure if you like that sort of thing, but it's a thought!

Thanks also for the kind words about my e-ring. I will pass them on to FI, who gets the most adorable sheepish smile on his face whenever he hears compliments about the ring.

ETA: I just checked out your original posts about your e-ring, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I love the clean lines of the setting.

Nocturnius: I absolutely love Maggie Sottero and your dress is gorgeous!!! I would love to try it on... Unfortunately its always so hard trying to find the Maggie dresses I want to try on

Wish me luck.

Thank you, m''dear! It''s crazy how happy being in that dress makes me! When you find the ONE, you''ll feel the exact same! I also would recommend Casablanca for their flexibility - my best friend made some changes to her dress, and they did it with no problems at all, and it came in earlier than they promised. Good Luck!

I was on a very strict budget (max $500 at first, but I ended up going a tiny bit over)! So I looked only at David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo.

The original dress I picked out was $350 on sale:
Galina halter trumpet

My family and MOH hated it, which would have been OK by me except that my mom was 100% sure my fiance would hate it too. After thinking about how much I really wanted him to be happy (notwithstanding the fact that he SHOULD be happy if I walk down the aisle in a potato sack!)...I exchanged it for this one (sale for $550):
Corset A-line

I showed my FI the photos of my first choice after returning it, and as predicted, he was glad I exchanged it. For some reason, while I have very simple tastes, he really likes beading/embroidery - the first thing he asked when I told him I exchanged it was "does it have any embroidery?")! Silly boy!

Anyway, 2 choices of dresses for ya under $600.

ETA: Just read through the thread more closely and realized that neither of the dresses I got really fit the bill for you. I think my 2nd dress would have been OK for you except the lace-up back. But don't discount David's Bridal - some of their dresses are really gorgeous! How about something like this (similar to mine but no lace-up back)?
