Show me the handbags

Bag is lovely but your coat is divine!

It’s a conflicting issue @Octave I don’t wear or buy fur but when it’s pre-made the damage has been done and therefore I either scream or see beauty, and in your case I couldn’t help myself…..heaven help me!

Thank you for bringing my dreams to life !

You're making me a little embarrassed. But I'm glad that I can inspire other people at least a little. I'm sure you will make your dreams come true for yourself and be an inspiration to others!

Wore one of my favourite handbags today which holds great memories of my husband and our children living in London, and the day they gifted it to me.

Style, elegance, grace and beauty expertly captured in a single thoughtful photo ❤️.

Thank you Octave

Haha, you're exaggerating as usual but I'm glad you like my new addition. Thank you!

Thank you so much! The color in the pic doesn't do the reality justice at all. It's even more beautiful in real life.

Capucines is probably my favourite LV bag and I love bright colours! LV does the vibrant colours really beautifully imo. Enjoy your stunning bag!

 Bag? What bag? I'm totally hypnotized by the sparklies!:kiss2: I always love seeing your beautiful stacks in various settings. Always.

Haha, but this thread is all about bags! But i am with you, bags and bling are more fun than just bags! Thank you!

The original Birkin just sold for 10 million dollars.

(10.1, but who's counting?)

I loved Jane Birkin's style - she didn't even like the Hermès Birkin much, but they contributed to charity for the use of her name.

‘It was quite fun. Once on Japanese television, they had a Birkin bag. It was all very ceremonious. They gave it to me and I jumped on it immediately with both feet. I said the whole point is to make it look old and battered as fast as possible. They were horror-struck.’

Jane Birkin

My Birkin 35 and I have a difficult relationship. It feels wonderful and is super practical, but it's a real monster and terribly heavy. We'll see how long our relationship lasts.

I so get this! I only have one Hermes, an Evelyne.

I have a closet full of what I jokingly call "dead stock" designer purses that wear me instead of me wearing them. So beautiful, so large, so heavy.

Love your new Capucines! A style I love, but sadly, nowhere to wear. Hope you enjoy it!

Haha, I have already disposed of the “dead material”. Only the B 35 is left. It's hard to part with it, but I've ordered a smaller Birkin and as soon as it arrives I'll pass it on to someone else, for better or worse.

One more question, why can't you wear the capucines? I have a couple of them now precisely because they are so easy to wear.

Where I live most of the year, North Carolina, hardly warrants designer purses, but I've been collecting for like 35 years. A lot of people here have replicas. Obvious to me, but whatever.

When I spend time in Florida, I have enough to comfortably vibe.

A few months ago, I was in Orlando and was offered a few P 9 s. I was drooling, but the husband was with me and I knew I couldn't get it past him lol. I thought I wanted turquoise, but now gold is on my radar.

I'm not in the Birkin range, but I love them on others, and love yours too!

What's a capuchine ???
I did a search, but ...

It's a Louis Vuitton style of purse. Surely you could discern this on a handbag thread?

"It's a Louis Vuitton style of purse."
Thanks.

Nope, I don't use or buy handbags and, being gay never, had a girlfriend.
Besides, there's lots of stuff I don't know about, and I'm a curious lifelong learner.
That's why I did a search ... to no avail. :))

So all these "Louis Vuitton style purses" are capuchines?
They surely do vary.

My goodness, this is gorgeous. The clean and simple lines are so appealing to me but I am blown away by the intensity of the colours that are available in the designer ranges.
