Another example. Slight gap. But, a shorter finger doesn't let you stack upon stack. To be honest, I prefer a band or larger ring separate, rather than stacked on me.

I decided to set my AGL heated Ceylon sapphire like this using platinum head and darken 14K gold shank.


The "twins" are set in slightly darken 18k white gold.

Team gap all the way, fitted rings look like one ring instead each pice having its own identity. I can appreciate why some like no gap. My fiancé didn’t like the gap with my rings but I do.

Team gap. The band stays on 24/7, and will as long as possible since my husband put it there. I don't always wear the engagement ring, like when I'm doing something that might damage it. Once I have to take the band off for some reason I may consider not wearing it, since it won't have the same meaning without my husband being the one to put it on me.

I'm team no gap through and through. Technically I don't have an engagement ring because we didn't really do an engagement. But when I pair things with my wedding ring, I only pair those that sit nice and flush with it. At the time being those are:

1. Simple Pandora stacker in silver. Also have the earrings to match. Very understated and one of my favourite everyday pieces.




2. My family heirloom ring which was made for my great-great grandmother in late 19th century. It's been passed down from grandmother to granddaughter by line of the name. To be honest, I mostly wear it at home. It's too precious to risk losing it.



3. Unheated baby sapphire ring which I purchased from within the PS family. It was probably a once in a lifetime deal. The sapphire is amazingly beautiful to my eyes, so I've been wearing it almost non-stop.
