My husband is making these for people for Christmas. They're chopping boards or cheese boards and they're incredibly beautiful! The wood isn't cheap and they're work intensive, but they're so lovely!
In previous Christmases in Australia, I've tended to make hampers for people of all home-made foods. A few years ago I knitted everyone cashmere scarves. I've done small herb gardens, pot pourri, plants and so on, and in general like to give home made gifts. But this year Tim is a step ahead of me and is making these beauties, and is planning to do drink coasters as well.
But luckily, I got the first one - yaaaaaaay!
So - show me something cool/beautiful/clever/natty you've made. Craft, cooking gifts, preserves, sewing - anything you or your significant other has created.
And in the meantime, I'll be getting maximum enjoyment from this beautiful gift from my dear husband!
ETA I should also mention - he's making me a park bench for my garden for Christmas. I want to be able to sit in my front garden and enjoy the trees, so he's making me one and painting it fire-engine red! It will be a lovely focal point in the yard against all the deep green.
