Just post the ring. Get it done and over with. After the one token ring photo I don''t mind the entire set-up with the boxes, detail shots, and others. But get straight to the point. I''m not a patient person.

I must admit I look at the ring first. Then I go back and read the writing if I ''know'' the person. Oh I feel bad now.

I do try not to write too much when I post my stuff though. I doubt anyone really wants to read my prattling on anyway. Its probably more a case of ''Oh dear, what has Maisie bought this time?''

Don't feel bad, Maisie! I do it too. If it's proposal I'll read the story if it's not long before looking at the photos. If it's not a proposal I just want the stats and photos. After the photos I may read the story. Maybe.

Personally, I don''t get the fed ex boxes and such. Kind of a waste of your time, people''s time and PS bandwidth. It seems more attention seeking to me than anything, but that''s JMHO.

Hmmm...shipping packages...a big waste of my time, but I try to get editing done before I start posting pics, so it isn''t much more than a few seconds of other people''s wasted time. As for bandwidth...

And I''ve taken to posting a blurry pic of the stone (because I don''t seem to like to invest in setting anything

) instead. Plus, that way, it shows of how well it sparkles!

Hm...should cads be shown in RT or SMTR? I vote RT, with finished products in SMTR.

I think you become a Sho Ho when you have MULTIPLE threads for the same ring-with mostly the same pictures (or variations on the same picture). I'd rather you post em all in one post.

As to number...I'm fine with as many as are necessary to show all the angles, stones, etc. But I HATE it when people post 1000 of the same freaking photo but on a different flower or something. Show us a new angle! Show the stone further/away or closer! Something!

I was thinking the same- Love the tell it as it is thing.

To answer the question-No, don''t post till you have a picture of your pretty. Not fussed on fed-ex boxes and I don''t mind a cad being posted provided that the real thing would be posted in a day or two.

TG: I am glad you started this topic, because I sometimes I find it a tad annoying when there are posts in SMTR with no pics. Somehow I thought I was the only one *bothered* by this. Disclaimer here: I am not referring to anyone in particular, but that just really seems to be attention seeking to tease me with "3 carat cushion in a Mark Morell (or Leon, WF, etc.) setting" and then.....no pics! I hate to be teased!

I don''t mind CADs on SMTR, but I don''t get too excited about them either.
