after reading through the archives here, i think i''m very close to getting a diamond from whiteflash. so i thought i''d get opinions -- what do you think of this diamond:

i love the D color, and Bob at WF told me that it''s an eye-clean SI2. but is there anything else i should be looking out for? thanks in advance!

If it''s eye clean, should be a beauty!

Looks beautiful to me! If they say it''s eye-clean you can trust them! a

Great idealscope - make sure to check on the eyecleanliness as Ellen mentioned

ETA: I see you already checked - beautiful stone then!

thanks, everyone!

i''m starting to second-guess myself though -- do i really want a D stone? when i went to a couple of mall jewelry stores last week, i felt i could tell the difference between a D and an I. but now going through pictures here, i really can''t. if i went to, say, an I, i''d save about $500...which i wouldn''t mind :)

Well, in case you could see the difference, compromise and go for a G. If you''re just not sure, go looking again.

You won''t be able to see colour differences of diamonds on a computer monitor very well, but I would think many would be able to tell the difference between a D and an I in real life so to speak, also comparing apples to apples, GIA or AGS graded etc, similar cut etc. As Ellen says, a G might be a good choice, still very white but without the D premium. Also ''Seeks has posted a nice one.
