So at the same time as my multistone ring (in another thread) I had another one in the works which is a small Jedi rough set in blackened gold.
We agreed on the CAD and the bench got to work. They just sent me pics of the finished ring, which I love except for one thing: I feel like I could see a little black from beneath the stone.
In the CAD it is not specified where the gold is blackened (not sure about the correct term for it), I guess I kind of assumed (didn’t really consciously think about it) that the inside of the basket will not be blackened.
The bench assured me that it makes no big difference, and took another daylight pic, but I still feel like I could see a little black background.
Now I am uncertain about what to do. They obviously don’t want to redo anything, and it might be a hassle if I insist. I might be able to live with it (perhaps I can convince myself it gones with the vibe of the ring), but should I?
Would appreciate your opinions and advice, thanks in advance!
