Very excited to get this beauty to celebrate a career accomplishment (lucky for me my husband loves diamonds too - but when I got home, he said he didn’t think it looked big enough! I like that it still remains a little understated so I am not afraid to wear it. And no - I am not 80 years old even though my hands make me look like I am! Lol

Here are a few more pictures. Setting is platinum with baguettes and French cuts. I actually bought the setting a few years ago out of an estate case with the plan that someday I would put a beautiful diamond in it.

Hubby does not love the ring. He thinks this moment deserves more sparkles and more wow. Lol. He has never been a fan of ECs - hated getting me one when we got engaged a hundred years ago (my prehistoric hands look like it was a MILLION years ago lol) - but I have always loved ECs. My daughter also is not a fan - and I do agree that my new ring is an awful lot like my other (one is 4.02 H color the other is 3.01 carats - J color). So - we may return it for something more "wow" but the jeweler said to enjoy it for a few days while they look at some different options. So - I am enjoying it until I decide. I also think it is fascinating to compare the skinnier sparkly facets of a recently cut EC to the chunkier, more shimmering facets of an older cut (20 plus years old). I really like both!
