We all have them - those things we keep thinking about and looking at. If you're on here, it's probably sparkly and colorful. Maybe it's something you own or are considering owning, and maybe it's something you'll never own. Whatever it is, please share it with us.

I'll start. I absolutely love this stone, even though it's smaller than I want and the color isn't quite what I told myself I was looking for. But it's so pretty and I keep coming back to it.

this is The Princess of Wale's new brooch gifted to her as she named the new warship Glasgow this week
ages ago on etsy was this thistle brooch that was just spectacualr, it was only about $300 and i loved it , silver with amethyst thislte flowers
but it seems to be out of production, just about every week i spend about an hour looking at thistle brooches with amethysts
i have always loved them
remember the thistle in Braveheart

Aww... I hate when that happens. Maybe they'll reopen shortly! Sometimes they just need to catch up on orders or are on vacation. :)

okay, a more realistic option is a faceted vanadinite, which I hope I can buy when Brad gets another miraculously big, clean crystal. Similar story with Russian or Baja chrome sphene.

As much as I adore a purple diamond, can’t see myself buying one the size of a pin head for $50,000 US. Looks just like Amethyst ugh.
 
My current obsession is a necklace and bracelet set on eBay. I keep looking at the listing with longing. It’s way too much for what it is and maybe after a year the seller will adjust their expectations and I can swoop in.
Can always dream on.

I could. But I am an insane person.
I think most would go with an intense pinkish purple, can be far larger and cheaper and quite similar looking.
 
Not CS related, and it is just a crazy idea at the mo as I don't have any spare pennies at present: to start a collection of blue Tahitian pearls at source, one at a time with Kamoka Pearls until I have sufficient pearls for a 18in finished necklace.

They'll be back. If the store is closed permanently, the message displayed is different. Etsy has this functionality of allowing you to close your store for a vacation. It's temporary, the store should open again soon.
 
I have a very modest budget of $1000 AUD that hubby has given me as a mother's day gift but not sure what I'd like that's within budget.

I had a few ideas, gold bracelets or rings, or a nice ish jade bangle.

If anyone has any suggestions please send them my way lol.

OK, I guess this is really lucky because right now I’m just obsessed with my lavender Jade necklace . Also honorable mention to my bright green Jade.

yes. It's a unique stone in a good cut but it's not large and the cut isn't especially complex. I love the look, but am not quite ready to drop $1K on it.

Here goes.. I would love a lavender Jade bangle.. just need to figure out sizing and if it's right for my lifestyle. I'm having massive FOMO from the jadeite thread lol.

Re Jade bangle - As someone who owns all 3 sizes (super fitted, moderate, loose) can I be bold and suggest you buy a loose-ish one if you don’t want to wear one permanently? That was it comes on and off easily and you can just slide it off after a day out if you’re worried about banging it around.

Love the gold bangles!!! I am quite the fan! I have a few myself as I feel they are a classic item.

Thank you for your advice @mellowyellowgirl I'm really jealous of ladies with a small wrist because the discounted Jade bangles are never in size. I think a good fit for me would be 58-60 which is on the larger size and limits the choices a bit. I found some cheaper ones in this size that I could "test". I figure if I break them then I wouldn't feel as bad lol.

I could go larger but there's nothing nice and in budget. I'll have to keep digging.

And you can't go wrong with gold I'd say haha. If all else fails there's always that!

For me, there's also this cute little fat marquise spinel. I would get it bezel set in white gold as a station bracelet. Or maybe something else. I'm open to suggestions. For some reason I'm crushing on purple this season.

Isn't it crazy that gold is a fall back? The price of jade is NUTS.
 
My current obsession isn’t a coloured stone thing, but it’s a tennis bracelet I’m saving every penny towards! It has multiple shapes, with some bigger pieces and some smaller; total caratage around 18cts - basically two bigger diamonds separated by a line of smaller ones. I don’t have a picture of it but it has taken over my brain!
