Hello all,

I have found a stone that seems really good. It is 0.55ct, H, IF. I am looking for stones of this size as it feel it suits her tiny finger best. But being a newbie in diamond hunting, I would like to hear your comments on this diamond. The specs are:

Width: 5.32mm
Length: 5.34mm
Depth: 3.25mm
Table Percentage: 55.62%
Depth Percentage: 61.03%
Crown: 34.34
Crown Depth: 15.08%
Pavilion: 40.83
Pavilion Depth: 43.06%
Upper Girdle: 42.31
Lower Girdle: 41.97

BUT... this stone is a H color. I am just afriad that when my gal compares her diamond with her friends, she will notice some color on the stone.

So I would like to ask firstly, what do you think of the cut, and secondly, do you have any H color stones that you can post so that I can see how it looks? One thing I really like about this stone is it''s brilliantscope result (attached)

Thanks for all the help!!

There is no doubt this would be a nice stone, but the Bscope is a bit hit and miss and it means the stone has proportions that favor the structured lighting it works on. An equally bright diamond could get a lessor result.

Why trade H - somethhing you can see in some lighting conditions, for IF, which is effectively the same as SI1 in most diamonds (ie invisible). if you answer is because you want some sort of perfection thingy - then that is a good answer and go with it.

As to small hands and taste - that is baloney.
She will grow out of that - so make sure you get a great trade up policy from whoever you buy from.
