Setting Question

I recently purchased an AGS-000, H&A, F, VS2, round, .746 cts., 5.78mm - 5.8mm x 3.59mm diamond from DirtCheapDiamonds.com. My question is regarding the setting I purchased (attached picture) from a jeweler that is closing out their Scott Kay line. The setting is platinum with 18kt golg bar accents, 2 tapered baguettes, G, VS2, .27tcw. Currently, the ring is set with a 6.5mm CZ. The jeweler assured me that the head will work fine with my diamond. Can a head set for a 6.5mm be re-set properly to accomodate the measurements of my stone and still look beautiful? Any comments are greatly appreciated.
