Setting ideas for a 2.03 carat OEC, please.

The setting I posted is not from SS; it is an estate piece from Shreve in San Francisco and priced way high! Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a handshot so those are the only two photos I have. Thanks for the info on SS's shipping of rings to try out. I am definitely going to do that but need to whittle my list before starting that process...

Aren't you glad you are PS and we found our OEC here! hehe 37k is crazy! It is a lovely setting! I am doing the same as you, thinking this through. How fun to be in SF and be able to check out Langs and other Antique jewelers! I love Lang's Your stone is beautiful and can't wait to see how you set it. Please keep me posted; I would love to hear what you are loving if you don't mind letting me know and I will do the same! hehe This is fun!!

Ooh your mom's ring is sooo beautiful!! How unique and lovely!! I definitely am very attracted to the leaf setting .. .and about 90% of the other settings other PSers have posted!! Are you getting any better ideas yet, or do you want 20 different rings? LOL.

My guy and I were looking for solitaires originally, but then got sidetracked by all the delicious goodies at Single Stone. I was also very impressed by the workmanship and attractive prices. I haven't decided if I want a modern RB or a chunky and yummy OEC. But if I do get an OEC, I would DEFINITELY get the L/M diamond from Single Stone. That diamond is just amazing!! As for settings, I do love the leaf design but looking at all the other settings in this thread has me doing a double-take!

Last one for now.. this one is a vintage setting with something like a 5 carat or so? OEC.. from Lang Antiques.. Love the bezel-like prongs...

I've seen this ring in person - it's on the window display at Lang. Stunning, and despite the size it is not "too much" at all.

SparklyOEC, The thread that Coati linked was talking about nicks and scratches and letting them be (DiaGem) said that. I heard you can buff them out all depending on where they are, etc but if they don't hurt the integrity of the stone then not to worry about it, interesting stuff huh? I am learning too! hehe Victor Canera made LGK's gorgeous ring that I attached.
