Hi everyone! I need some more help...

I'm getting a big cushion, around 5.5 to 7 carats. I need a setting for this diamond so I decided to get a head start by looking since I already know what I want!

I'm looking for a 4 prong, split needle prong. Delicate U-cut pave band, with a donut. So very simple but still a lot of sparkle. Since the stone is already so big, I want the rest of the ring to be very delicate and dainty.

The closest thing to this I've found so far is DolceJo's Cushion ring, only then mine would have a donut underneath and split needle prongs on top and U-cut pave instead of fishtail. (LOL am I explaining this right?)

I would have to have it custom made but as far as I know all of the jewelers that can pull this off (HW, LM) only accept their own stones :( Does anyone have some suggestions?

ETA: Forgot to mention no halo lol!

Try Victor Canera--I love his pave work!

Do you already have the stone? If not, why not let LM or VC source the stone for you? Then have them make the ring of your dreams? If you already have the stone, I'd definitely contact VC. His work is impeccable and last time I checked, he worked with stones he did not source.

I am pretty sure Leon accepts outside stones. You can also try Steven Kirsch.

I fell in love with the AVC and I am 100000% set on it. I read in a lot of threads that LM doesn't set AVC's anymore?

Yup, multiple threads. Do a search and you'll see... :( Unless he changed his mind? I sure hope so!

Take a look at Michael Devlin at Devlin jewelry. He does fantastic work. Very good to work with and the fine detail and finish of his work is second to none. He also works with either 900 or 950 plt. Depending on your preference if you choose platinum.

Assuming you are talking about http://devlinjewelry.com,,, his work is far from what the OP is asking for. There are no examples of delicate pave rings. His work looks good but a completely different style.

I just say stick to Leon Mege, Steven Kirsch or Victor Canera. Tried and true.

I agree with Charmypoo, Not what I had in mind but thanks!

Hi CushionCutie!

I haven't been able to follow PS in ages but when I saw your post I wanted to share my experience of purchasing a 5+ cushion for my amazing ring. What a wonderful journey it has turned out to be!

Perry found my beautiful 5+ cushion as well as the all the cushions for my earrings & pendant.
Leon set them all for me.
I can't tell you how happy I've been with my decision to go with these amazing guys.
My situation was quite unique since I was living in Tokyo and I couldn't fly out to see the diamonds for myself so I trusted Perry entirely, he became my 'eyes'.
He helped me with every step of the process and yes it can be very overwhelming! I definitely needed the support and guidance through it all. He is such a kind soul.

I have learned so much through Pricescope.
I remember reading through all personal experiences, trying to find the courage to take this giant step. After such an amazing experience, I wanted to share my own story and encourage others like me.

I have to add that the photos are NOTHING like the real thing. My cushions are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
When I look at the photos, I almost don't recognize them - they look so flat and dull!
It is impossible to capture the light-color-beauty and energy they exude in real life.
I can't see my earrings and pendant unless I look at the mirror but my ring...
I feel awful saying this but I just get lost in it's beauty. I have been caught staring at it, how embarrassing.

Leon did such a FANTASTIC job, the micro pave, the setting, the way those tiny diamonds sparkle.
The pieces are so dainty yet so strong. Just beautiful. He is such an INCREDIBLE artist.
I continue to travel the world, comparing jewelry here and there. Leon's style and workmanship is 'one and only'.
He stands alone, unrivalled- high above all I've seen anywhere. That's just me, my feelings, my experience.
I feel very lucky, very happy, very thankful to have met Leon and Perry, what a great team.
Perfect match for me.
I wear my set every day, every where.
And yes, I keep them clean and have them checked regularly for any fallen stones- nothing yet.
I think that speaks for the quality and needs to be mentioned.

Lastly, Leon does work with your own diamonds, he just feels that their diamonds are cut better- in my case cushions.
Perry has incredible connections with the cutters, he can make things appear out of nowhere.
Especially those yummy antique cushions, each unique, gorgeous and delicious with such character.
Whatever you want - Perry will find. That's my experience %100, each and every time.
He listened to what I wanted and came up with the exact pieces, I couldn't believe it.
It was just meant to be really.

Your ring will be MAGNIFICENT and your story will be glorious.
Please keep us posted with lots of pics, I now know to multiply the beauty of the photos by hundreds and more!

Best Always,

Mrs. Flintstone
