Thanks for being SO HELPFUL thus far in my search for the perfect OEC. I think I'm almost there, and want to think settings. I'm going to have Erica at JBEG make the setting for me, because I like the idea of a one-stop shop and not shipping the stone around. Plus, I like their settings
I've taken so much inspiration from Pricescopers' rings - which I hope is ok - and wanted to show a couple of my favorites to get at what I'm going for. I'd like to do a solitaire with split claw prongs in 18k rose gold, but I don't know just how simple I want it to be. So essentially, the simplest, cleanest version would be a play on the much loved (for obvious reasons) ksmom LM ring:

I also am completely and totally in love with valmanin's OWD setting, which I would do in rose gold and set a little lower:

Whew. A couple questions: any reason to go for one over the others, other than preference? My diamond will be a GIA J - is this going to be ok in rose gold, or will it look more tinted? Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thanks! And so much excitement for this continuing journey.
