Not to take away from Kellyb727's gorgeous pad and setting thread .... But I recently purchased Elliott86's little pear pad sapphire. And the thread about buying CSs in shapes you may not care for because of the color/price made me think to start a thread on this one. Though it will be a little while till I actually start on it due to other projects in flight.

When she had this suite listed for sale, this little bugger immediately appealed to me & caught my eye for the color. It's not certed, and I am less concerned about that, as the color is king for me vs what it's called.
It is an odd, fat little pear with a tiny point. But it is soooo pretty! My first thought regarding setting it went to a preloved vintage ring I bought a little while back with the most adorable filigree work and little bows and what kinds looks like an orange blossom flower on each side. This would take some rework of the setting to remove the center diamond and make room for the pear to be reset in its place. And when I looked at them together, it almost looks doable with the right bench.
What are your thoughts about it with this ring? What other ideas might the experts have for this dainty little pear? Do you have or have seen similar shaped pears in settings?
