I was hoping to get some feedback on the following diamond:
EGL USA REPORT
Round Brilliant
0.76 ct
Depth - 61.1%
Table - 55%
Crown - 15.1%
Pavillion - 42.7%
Girdle - Thin
Cutlet - None
Polish - Good
Symmetry - Good
Clarity - VS2
Color - E
Fluorescence - Medium Blue
I am a bit concerned about the "medium blue" fluorescence because I''ve heard strong fluorescence in E colored diamonds is not recommended, and EGL USA generally tends to understate fluorescence in their reports.
I am also a bit concerned about the GOOD polish/symmetry. Can you really tell the difference between G, VG and EXC? Can I trust the EGL USA rating?
Regarding the cut, I plotted the figures into the cut advisor, and it seems to have a pretty good cut. Am I right?
I would also appreciate it if you guys could help me figure out what this diamond is worth (fair market value). It is my understanding that EGL USA and GIA reports may vary quite a bit. What would a comparable GIA report say?
