Thanks for all of you for doing the right thing, alerting the fellow community members and reporting these crooks. I bet they didn't expect to be busted so fast!
It occurred to me whether image thefts like this could be prevented in the future if we "watermarked" our pics - you know, added a nickname and possibly a reference to this forum to each image. The mark should be somewhere on the image where it can not be so easily cropped away. Something like this:

I am that person who has a couple of items on hold! In fact I had try to pay twice for a stone via a couple of third party sites. Fortunately for me the merchant declined the transaction. After investigations I have found that she is black listed on paypal, ETSY. She is also trying to sell on another site called exboyfriends jewellery. She has been emailing me privately for a long time her so called name is Chris -details "chuffey87 ." <[email protected]. I had even gone to the length of contacting GIA and they confirmed the GIA certificates…
Guess it was too good to be true!

As frauds go this one was pretty clumsy. Even if they'd gotten a credit card payment from someone they'd have to get it out of the bank and get out of town before the victim complained. Credit card money doesn't show up in the bank account right away. Hopefully these incompetent crooks will never be heard from again.

It depends on their processor. Typically the money from a credit card transaction is in the account in two to three days. There is a substantial period of time when that money can be reversed though. They would need to get the money out of the account and not have any "good" money in the account when the complaints start coming in, as the cc companies have the right and the power to take the money back out if there is any there.
Incompetent as they are I fear that as scammers they will simply go on to a new scam. It is, after all, what scammers do.
