So I was off today and decided to go to the little jewelry store that I had gotten my last OEC. I wasn''t expecting to find anything, but he had some in.

First one was 1/3 set in a necklace. Looked nice, but no. The second one was a .42 loose. Again, looked nice, but no. Then he pulled out a .56 and it looked very nice. I louped it and it seems to be pretty clean and white. He said it looks to be a G/H color and VS clarity. It looked very close in pattern to the .54 that I had set in a ring. I had the master jeweler look at it and he also said it looks very nice, so nice that they could be twins.

Now I told myself no more projects for a while, but this was just to good to pass.

He even said that the old stones are coming back and people are calling him to see if they have any in. So I put a down payment on it and will pick it up in a couple weeks. I am going to make earrings out of them. I am so excited. I don''t think I can wait.

It will probably take about a month so I will post pics as soon as they are done. Thanks for letting me share.

How exciting! Do you mind if I ask what price range all these little sparklies are in? I was studying oldworlddiamonds website and then looking around estate jewelry websites, but I wonder if the prices are better when you find them in a store? What kind of jewelry shop did you find them in?

How wonderful!!! I wish I had access to old stones...or wait....maybe not!

I can''t wait to see them!!

How cool that you found a match! I can''t wait to see the finished earrings.

Do you have any pictures of your .54 in the ring? Where did you get the setting?

Thanks everyone.

Tulip, I found that the prices are pretty similar to what you find at oldworlddiamonds. And the store is just a little one that buys, sells or trade jewelry. I guess I''m lucking in finding this stone. I try to go to jewelry stores like pawn shops, antique stores, etc. I actually have fun looking around.
