I like the stone. And I like that it is so open. As to the setting itself, it is her choice. It is not my favorite, but it showcases the stone.

I'm not a fan of her ring, and not a fan of Hollywood personalities in general. The diamond doesn't appeal to me, its not quite yellow IMO and I'm color sensitive so it does nothing for me. I'm glad though that it was rescued by Scarlett.

I think that the ring has been a wonderful PR step. Imagine SJ getting engaged with a “standard” ring. Everyone would gossip a tad about her third engagement, and forget about it, because whatever-the-fiancé’s-name is a microcelebrity, Scarlett’s engagement is “getting long in the tooth” hype, and anyhow, there are many beautiful diamond rings floating around.

But now, thanks to this egg, she is on the front pages, hands and all. Is the ring ugly, is it beautiful, whatever the cost, will she lose it, will she reset it, who cares. I know one thing - that she will be in my news line tomorrow, and then again. The best thing for a celebrity is to be the center of attention. Mission accomplished. (Waiting for SNL show dedicated to the ring). Smart girl, SJ.

I don’t like the stone or the setting. There is something very odd about it to me. Like it can’t decide what shape it wants to be. I agree it would make a better pendant.
Hopefully, the man and the ring are exactly what she wants.

I think people dislike her because of how it’s perceived that she treated Ryan Reynolds, who is so well liked. But that is just my opinion-probably fueled by how I feel about her.
