Scarlett Johansson's E-ring

I freaking love her ring. It’s different and it fits her. It’s edgy. It’s ok to be both of those things. All of the Hollywood engagement rings just look like some other version of someone else’s ring, just bigger...yawn. Good for Scarlet for staying true to herself.

I can’t believe this ring is getting such a bashing! I think a better colour combination with the yellow diamond and black enamel could have been used, like in Taffin’s other designs. (Am I right in thinking this is a James de Givenchy design?) As a jewellery lover I’m glad it’s not your boring large rock and blah pave halo.

Why do people dislike Scarlett Johansson? I know nothing about her except that she has a great figure and I do not know why I know that. I must have picked up a magazine in a waiting room, but I remember being impressed. I cannot keep up with modern movie stars and know positively no television show actors.
 
I like her and I love this diamond! I love different too! This setting is just not my thing :naughty:

FTR - I don’t give a rats behind about SJ; I just think that ring is ugly (not the diamond; just the ring/setting for the diamond).

I quite like this ring! Different and interesting design, and I love the color of the stone. I've had a brown diamond on the wishlist for a while after seeing a great one at DBL once, and this ring is really kicking that desire up a notch.

Even at that size, idk that light brown would be $400k... but all the celebrity ring estimates seem inflated, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt.

grossly i just came back from the bathroom and a slug had came in the open window and was slimming its way across the wall
i resisted the temptation of trying it on !
 
I quite like the diamond. But the setting is not my style.

For such an unusual setting, I hope she had some input at least.

I like the stone. And I like that it is so open. As to the setting itself, it is her choice. It is not my favorite, but it showcases the stone.

I don't mind it at all. It's different. She's tried other styles before and she seems creative to me. :P2
