So, we are buying a used travel trailer (RV) and I'm nervous/excited about it. What tips/hints/advice for someone who's never done this and is um frightened.
Cozystitches, have fun with your new RV. We have a 5th wheeler toy hauler. DH has been camping since he was a kid. I know the frig runs better if the RV is level. It gets windy around here so get stakes and put your awning poles in the ground rather than on the side of your trailer. If you dry camp use lots of paper pales, cups and easy meals because washing and rinsing dishes will use a lot of water. If you have a generator or will be in a powered campsite prepare meals ahead of time to cook in the microwave. We also used old dishes, pans, silverware, etc so we could leave it all in the trailer.
We actually have our RV for sale right now, we no longer have a big truck to pull it. We used to go camping in the mountains to use our telescopes.
