Ruby E-ring

I realized yesterday that my e-ring never got its PS runway show. Here she is - 1.97 ct ruby, bought pre-PS so I dont know whether it was heated, etc. I do know that she makes my heart sing almost as much as the man whose love it symbolizes.

Thank you! The color red has special meaning for FI and me, so opting for a ruby was easy. The only time I had second thoughts was the day I got a tangerine mani. The ring sat in its box for a few days after that...

It goes both ways - the colored stone makes the details in the halo just pop. The day that FI and I picked it out, the salesgirl at the store (I did say this was pre-PS) pulled out a red dry-erase marker and started coloring in the center cz's in the settings we liked. I was aghast! I had no idea this was industry practice. She cracked up and said, "Don't worry, it washes right off. I make sapphires and yellow diamonds with markers all day long." Once the center stones were colored in, the settings looked completely different. The halos stood out. The individual diamonds were visible. The contrast highlights the design of the settings.

Nope, nope, nope. The nail polisher remover comes out, the ring stays put. Putting this beauty away, even for a few days, is a crime.
