Not jewellery related, however, Royal Mint in the UK has a set of commemorative coins to celebrate the 75th birthday of the Princess Royal, my favourite; and I have bought a 2-coin set.
Why oh why did they choose the dreadful pine cone tiara when they could have chosen the more elegant Greek Key or the festoon???

I miss the times when the courts would release formal portraits of the various family members in jewels, orders and decorations. I don't think Catherine has ever posed in a tiara yet!

Oh yes, of course I've seen this one! But it's not the type of photo I had in mind.
What I long to see is the type of formal portrait the likes of Cecil Beaton, Lord Snowdon, Erwin Olaf or Mario Testino would've taken. All posed in a formal and carefully thought out setting, not casually posing in your back yard on the way to dinner with the French president
