QUEEN ADELAIDE

this is very good
interesting
HM provided her own jeweles for her corination crown to save money and she brought English fabric for her dress to support local industry

i have not forgotten the rest of Royal Ascot and trooping and the Garter shindig
Gary should be home tomorrow and although it will be demanding he will sleep

Not exactly jewelery but lovingly maintained
Wanganui was one of the very first European settlements in NZ
It was once the 4th fasted growing town in NZ
The main st is called Victoria av
Anyway the main ward block was built in 1957 with an exterior art deco vib - NZ was late to art deco and it .lingered longer here

Anyway Anyway
They are really proud of their history here in the hospital. Lots of lovely local art and historic pictures of the hospital

The foundation stone for this block is on the ground floor but I found this beauty on the medical ward floor where Gary is now20250625_125700.jpg

People must have.missed Queen Victoria like we now miss our late Queen

i will get caught up

Haven't posted in awhile, but this is certainly worth mentioning - the Windsor sparkle last night at their castle outside of London

The Princess of Wales with the Lover's Knot tiara and the Greville chandelier earrings

The Princess Royal with her Edwardian married parure

The Duchess of Edinburgh with her aquamarine tiara and a lovely diamond necklace

The Duchess of Gloucester pulled all stops with her turquoise parure. She's actually wearing two necklaces - a classic turquoise and diamond cluster necklace and a fringe of diamonds with alternating turquoise and pearl drops. To this she added a pair of matching earrings and two wide turquoise bracelets. Definitely the winner in the jewellery stakes last night!

Bonus tiara - the Duchess of Gloucester (tonight) at the Lord Mayor's Banquet for President and Mme Macron at the Guildhall. HRH is wearing Queen Mary's honeysuckle tiara with pink topaz centerpiece and matching jewels.
