The Princess Royal said she normally describes cutting special cakes as `legalised vandalism´
Anne asked what the cake was made of and someone in the audience quipped: “Bricks!”

Before leaving, she was presented with a commemorative brick, a trowel and a bunch of flowers.

no jewels but thank you to HRH Prince Edward Duke of Edinburgh who represented our King at ANZAC day in London yesterday, the first time he has done so
i think this is one of the most important thing the monachy does
he started the day with dawn parade at Hyde park corner and was busy all day honoring the Australian and NZ war dead and veterns
shame on some internet sites that only showed pictures and did not say it was ANZAC day and what it was

do you know why NZ wear poppies in April ?(Australia has rosemary)
because when the very first poppies were made in France they did not arrive in time for 11 Nov that first year so the RSA held them off until April 25th and we have done it that way ever since

HM looks completly different in emeralds

The emeralds look completely different on her!

Not crazy about the neckline and necklace. Go with one or the other.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the King's Games in Hoofddorp today where she was a hit with the kids.

The Dutch Royal, 52, and her husband King Willem-Alexander, 56, were in high spirits as they met with school pupils of KBS Klippeholm and CBS Vesterhavet in the northwestern province.
the King's birthday is the next day so lots of fun to look forward to from the Dutch people

Queen Camilla hosts the Maiden yachting crew at Clarence House. (29.04.2024)

Queen Camilla was wearing a Britannia brooch.

Britannia is the national personification of Britain as a helmeted female warrior holding a trident and shield.

Mounted in 18ct white gold, the brooch features a diamond encrusted Britannia figurine, alongside a ruby and sapphire Union Jack flag.
It appears to be a replica of the cap badge worn by the Royal Norfolk Regiment, of which she’s Colonel in Chief.

What appears to be the same brooch recently sold online for £4,400
