"The granting of your city status is particularly special to me, as your Letters Patent are the only ones in existence that hold both my signature and that of my late mother," the message read.

"Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, as you mark your well-deserved status as one of the newest cities in the British Isles, and the only one of the Crown Dependencies, I would like to offer on behalf of my wife and myself, my heartfelt congratulations and my very best wishes for the future."

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden unveiled a portrait of herself during a visit to the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh today.
The regal portrait will hang on the wall of the Asian University for Women in Chattogram - an independent institution that welcomes all students regardless of their background.

During the visit, the heir to the Swedish throne also chatted with the students and interacted with their work.

That's a very basic drawing of the cut steel tiara, I'm afraid. A nice picture all in all, but tiara has a lot of design that's lacking here.

verticle for me
but i think its a good sign HM is up for experimentation and will play around with the brooches (im thinking back to the placement of the stomacher )

The British Queen is visiting Northern Ireland today (see Daisys' post) and wore a right hand ring, an unusual sight. She also pinned her new (but likely antique) diamond and green enamel brooch.

King Charles has inherited very good taste
the ring i did not notice - do we think its a present from Charles also ?

I don't think the rings come from Charles. They look like the type of jewels that may have been lingering in Camilla's safe for years. You'll notice that they are a stack of three - a simple ruby and diamond 3-stone ring, a cluster ring (sapphire or ruby?) and another band:

I hope it was caught early. It sounds like there was an issue that prompted the surgery and they originally didn't think it was cancer, but the biopsy showed there was cancer. Surgery probably took care of most of it and the chemo is just making sure every last cancer cell is destroyed.

Here's to a full and complete recovery for the Princess of Wales!

Max doing good Queening visiting with
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands today stepped out to to visit rehabilitating soldiers in the city of Aardenburg.

The royal, 52, was pictured greeting various personnel at the Military Rehabilitation Centre, where soldiers and civilians go to recover following an ailment, accident or stroke.

The centre works in conjunction with Amputee Osseointegration Foundation Europe Clinics (AOFE Clinics) and specialises in amputation medicine.
