Hi
I have found a beautiful round diamond. It is a Gia g vs2 triple x with no fluorescence.
It does have a couple of feathers. On the cert it looks as if one meets the girdle and may be on the bottom and top of the stone .
I cannot see anything. The local jeweler says ther is no problem at all. I am wondering if they just want to sell a stone or if ther is no problem. What is the best way to know for sure?
Here is the Gia cert 2156848447

Please advise
Thanks

Generally, VS2 inclusions should not be of concern structurally. You hopefully are working with a trustworthy jeweler, so you will have to depend on his evaluation unless you choose to have an independent appraisal.

I really don't know how trustworthy they are. They have been in the mall for many many years. But let's face it on a 1.70 diamond there must be a decent profit. I would have thought the same as you , vs2 should be smaller inclusions not being an issue.

Thanks

Structurally there is nothing to worry about with a GIA graded VS2.

That's a typical looking diagram for a VS2, don't worry about the feathers.

Thanks for taking the time to check out the cert. you made me feel better about this diamond.
