Hey guys!

Looking to help a friend out in finding the best diamond possible. Found a diamond on James Allen and was hoping you guys could help me out and review it.

http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-dia...h-color-si2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-1026487

It is rated a 1.2 on the HCA so it is definitely within range. The idealscope and GIA snap shots are below.

Can you let me know your thoughts on this. Is it a keeper? Will be set in a floral halo design.

Thanks!

Re: Round Brilliant Diamond Review - Idealscopes/Specs Insid

is it eye clean? is there any visual impact in performance due to the twinning wisp/feather?

Crown is too low (lowest you want for a ring stone is 33.5). And I would be concerned about those inclusions. It's a pass for me.

Gypsy, would you be able to recommend a stone for me? Max budget on stone would be $ 1,800.00. 0.5-0.7 is what I was looking for and between G-H in color.

Thanks!

Ditto on the pass on the posted stone mainly because of clarity. Stick with SI1.

These are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone.

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0 (up to 35.5 crown angle can sometimes work with a 40.6 pav angle)

pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)
