Any help anyone could provide would be most welcome as I have no Idea in this matter. In any case I was rock hounding a few years back through a glacier type of runoff and I found the most remarkable group of stones. On one side there is graphite with garnets and on the other are blobs of yellowish and crystal clear stone in a large block.
The blobs are very greasy looking on the surface and remind me of melted clear plastic if they were not so hard. I guessed it is a block of water worn Quartz but I don’t know, so my question is How can I tell if I have a rough diamond or not.
