ok guys my budget for a diamond is around 3000.

I think the diamonds that I like the most would # 1,3 and 4. but if i buy through good old gold they are offering me a platinum solitare setting for 1300 when i can buy one thorugh james allen for $550.

is this a "forever" setting? if it is not and its only a temp setting do you think she is going to change the setting later, how come not just put it in 18kt gold? unless she's allergic to white gold?

ETA: if size is important, then imo JA #2 link and your plat ring is the best value.

i think i want to choose platinum becuse of it doesnt wear like white gold. Ive heard that white gold turns yellow after a while. But she has told me plenty times to go with white gold. But im a knuckle head and want to get her the best I can afford.

If she's happy with white gold, don't discount it. But if you prefer to go with platinum, they have both 4 and 6 prong settings for 575.00.

I like the GOG stones but due to the cost of the setting I would go with one of the BGD stones Ice Exployer pointed out or...
one of their .81ish I color in your price range that I will link below. Like IE said...the plat setting is $575.

1) Yes
2) It scores 1.0 HCA. But with BG Signature Diamonds, HCA is not useful.

Yes, a winner! Yes its Hearts and Arrow (H&A). Has full tradeup capabilities if you ever desire.
Don't need to run it through HCA because it has all the images (Aset/ideal scope/h&A) which give more info
then the HCA.
